lol mwtzz.....to each their own. I prefer to plant my trades and let them grow and hope all I need to do is
give em a little water every week and cut a dead vine or so every now and then.

but at least its a lit easier to click a trade instead of waking up at sunrise and farming all day.

Rain in Brazil makes expectation of oversupply. Looks like it's a good trade.

Yes, excellent short trade, if you entered early enough. And I expect an excellent long trade, when we reached a low. I assume the coffee prices to turn north somewhere between actual prices (approx. 130) and 100, basis NYBOT May contract.

I do not see coffee "skyrocketing" within the next couple of weeks.

In recent months money could be made selling calls above the market. I am holding the KCJ C140 and KCK C150, and intend to buy them back at 10 %.

By the way: ICE announced that they will charge a fee for live data after 1st of April. (Sorry - no April joke ...) This fee has to be paid by non-professionals and professionals.

I assume that the number of non-professional traders will be reduced significantly, and that the nice volatility for OTM calls will vanish.

Best regards, Myrrdin

You ag traders are awesome. I don't know how you do it. The few times I looked at ag products, it was so amazingly slow it seemed like it took an hour for the price to move a tick. It left me with the impression that if I'm going to trade wheat, I'd get more action just planting it in my backyard and watching it grow.

For the next couple of months buying coffee futures or options in my opinion is simply betting on severe dryness in Brazil. In my opinion there are better trades around.

See also my remark regarding live data for coffee below.

Best regards, Myrrdin

Hi everyone

I'm new to coffee futures and would like to ask a pretty basic question.

I saw its opening time is 4:15 AM ET at the ICEUS website.

But it opened at 5:15 AM this week, though I hadn't observed it long.

Can anyone help to answer? Thanks!

The change in daylight savings time. This happens twice a year when the US and London change for daylight savings ( called Summer time ) time on different weekends. Next week it will be back to the regular time.
