Hi,

First time poster here. I've been using IB for almost 10 years for stocks but started trading futures exclusively the last 2 years. I use Sierra Charts and found it to be an excellent software and just what I need. I'm now looking for a good broker to use with Sierra Charts and that has a good tick data feed. From reading other posts, TT with Velocity seems good. Has anyone used Transact Futures? I've been using their demo for a week and it seems good for trading CL future so far. But any info on their reliability and rating would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Been using the Transact Dom via Infinity Futures for several years. Found the Dom to be very stable, problems are extremely rare, furthermore I have found the customer service to be 2nd to none. Love the fact that the dom knows what style of order to place depending on where you are clicking, much more user friendly than other platforms, which in turn makes user error far less frequent.

What's your experience on their Commission and other charges ?

I used Infinity/Transact for over a year. They are decent. The DOM was good and easy to use. Service is excellent as well. Commission is what discouraged me in the end. CL, GC, NG, 6E are almost $6 RT. It sort of adds up when you start trading more frequently or bigger sizes.

I used the Rithmic feed for a few months and was not happy at all. While I swear the feed is lightning fast, like faster than I have have seen from others (which was good), there were random drops & outages during volatility. That is no good when trading volatile markets.

I also started with Sierra Charts and still use it today except I'm trading directly through Sierra's charting. It's great. I am using Deep Discount Trading currently with the TT feed. Price is excellent and support is amazing as well. For example RT on CL/GC is $4.14.

$4.14 does that include exchange, platform, data charges?

Sierra Platform is $18 a month. Exchange & data fees are included in that cost, yes.

Thats quite good but how about their daytrade margin, are they competitive comparing the likes of Mirus?

Ah, 25% on full size contracts and 10% for mini's - intraday that is.
