Just a short note to say how my hunt for a Broker has went. I've been reading tons of posts on the forum and other forums about the best Broker for me. But first, I'd like to thank Big Mike for providing such a wonderful place to get help without the flame throws some other forums have. And a big thank you to all who have answered my questions and took patience with me...!!!
It was a choice in the end between Optimus Futures, Interactive Brokers and Deep Discount Trading.
They all have things going for them and I'm not going to bash any of them that's not the way I work. But after speaking to Matt from Optimus it was an easy choice. Matt gave me a good deal and a few free extras but most of all I feel very comfortable and safe with his customer service. I'm experienced in Spot Forex but not the Futures market so I needed someone who I could trust and maybe do some hand holding for me as I get used to the differences between Spot/Futures.
I contacted DDT as well and Howard was as friendly as others have said but for me Matt ticked the boxes and especially since I'm beginning to use NT and I wanted the Rithmic data feed and not TT. I know there is much debate on data feeds but the more I read the more convinced that Rithmic was the way I'd like to go. So again Optimus suited me.
Thanks again for all the help and if anyone out there needs a broker Matt and Optimus Futures are worthy of at least a call. Give them a try I know you will be treated fairly and with integrity.
I've been working with Matt too, or more maybe more accurately, he's been working with me and my many questions and requests. Good guy. And while I have not decided on a broker at this moment, he is a credit to OTG, that' for sure.
I am trying to stay humble ....I was always a broker here from day one. Just can't let go LOL
But, we do have other brokers, and a GREAT staff that helped me build this company.

Hi Matt, kudos for giving a great support, people seem to be happy with you. But could you tell how many brokers are there in your company to keep the good service going - in case you are not able to? also what hours do you provide support if one has a problem with their order/something goes really wrong, at night for example..
There is 24 hour support between Optimus and the trading desk in Chicago.
I will post the rest of the answers in the other threads you posted.

@dadidaduda, are you a "normal" user, or are you working for another broker ?
Your questions looks very similar to the questions posted by an unhappy user/broker...
ha?? no i'm the "normal" one i guess.. still can't figure out which broker to use. optimus seems a bit small for me. i'm worried about their support and account protection. although rythmic server sounds good, but that's the only thing that sounds good... i hate ninjatrader and i want oco to be handled by broker WHILE still have the orders resting on exchange. there are not too many brokers that offer it (which is very strange to me).
i was thinking about IB and even thinkorswim (if they reduce the ridiculous commissions). but IB has fill issues because stop orders rest on their servers and thinkorswim seems to have data issues... TOS actually has the best theoretical protection on order fills, most comfortable platform (to me - for what i'm doing) and best support i've seen in any other brokerage so far.. but the 3.50 one side commission is a deal breaker.. so i'm still debating. anyone can help??
