I'm just getting started with NinjaTrader . Liking the platform but don't like it's monthly fee
Are there any good brokers out there that subsidize the platform with a minimum RTs per month or minimum balance??

If you trade Forex, check with Gain (Forex.Com).
Other than them, I think you have to pay Ninja if you are transmitting live orders. As usual, it is possible I am wrong.
However, you could use the free version of Ninja Trader for charting and use the brokers free order entry system. Not as convenient, but you could then decide if it was worth $60 a month to make it convenient.

You can get NinjaTrader for "free" from Mirus Futures, Amp Futures or Velocity Futures. In each instance, "free" means you aren't paying NinjaTrader any monthly fee, but you are paying the broker a slightly higher commission rate for each trade.

Look for brokers who offer the NT direct edition for free. No ATM with this version.

I was hoping some 'discount' brokers would be willing to foot the $50/mo since they get $40-$100/day from most of us

I think if you are doing 20 to 50 RT a day, then $60 a month would not be a problem.

Unless they have changed something, in the past you got the NT free with a demo account but you had to have a license to transmit live orders.
Otherwise I'm with trendisyourfriend ....

I can attest. I'm with Mirus. I downloaded NT & got a SIM key and a LIVE key from Mirus. I can trade live (no monthly NT platform fee), but cannot run ATM . Call Sean at Mirus Futures & ask him for details.
After all, it's what you learn AFTER you know it all, that counts!

Hi, not true on velocity, you have to pay for ninjatrader, if you trade with ninjatrader you pay for the license separately directly to ninjatrader and then you pay the commissions on the 'ninjatrader' page of velocity. There is no deal at velocity who included ninjatrader license. Those 'ninjatrader' rates include only the fee for the static DOM . I don't know for AMP or Mirrus.

hmmm... $60 a month to not have to manually enter all my own stops... with my typing skills... that's a bargain...

True, but $2.28 of that goes to the exchange and $0.04 to the NFA . So the broker gets what is left after he /she pays their clearing firm. So I just figured less that $2 a RT

Why would you want NT free anyway ? DeepDiscountTrading.com - .50 Cents Per Side + Fees takes only $0,5 comission per side without any limitations or minimums and they clear true crossland.
You can pay easily with the discount you have for your own tools.
I don't get it, sorry.
Most of us do multiple trades a day, we need the lowest commissions on the market with the best service. Deepdiscounttrading does that all.

Anyone else use deepdiscount?
I agree if the fee is low it will pay for the platform quickly. Since I'm fairly new to this the lowest I've found is 4.26/rt for the ES. If others are reputable and much lower, I'm all ears!
For easy math. If I did 100RTs. That's $427 in comm. If I can find somewhere to charge even $3.75 per turn I'd ahead

According to Deep Discount's website, assuming of course that I understood them correctly, Total fee including commissions to trade ES = $3.32 RT plus Platform Fee for Ninja Trader $0.05 per side for a grand total = $3.42 RT to trade on Ninja Trader.

Well, it's always a good idea to be on the side of the trend anyway
Just for your info, Mirus does not deliver licenses anymore, you get a free license directly from Ninja right here:

I just mentioned it because you said you were 'fairly new'. Howard seems to be a good guy, but I don't know how many basic trading questions he would be willing to answer.

Makes sense. I've been trading a few months live. Wouldn't need phone support unless an emergency. Not for basic questions. That's what futures.io (formerly BMT ) is for!!

I was in a NT sponsored webinar and asked about the NT Direct Edition. The speaker said that it is the live license without the ATM and the Ninjascript editor is disable, and it is only provided for the customers who use brokers with Zenfire. You have to get your own live license from Ninja if you execute trades thru other data feed.
The following user says Thank You to holymouse for this post:

With "the Ninjascript editor disabled ", it means that custom indicators bundled with NT SE cannot be tweaked; but does this mean that additional custom/third-party indicators cannot also be imported ?
