Valued Customer:

We are pleased to announce that Dorman Trading was acquired by Miami International Holdings, Inc. (MIH) on Wednesday, October 19, 2022. Key executives, risk management, operations and finance personnel will remain as your key contact points and are excited to continue serving you, our important customers.

Founded in 2007, MIH is a technology-driven leader in building and operating regulated financial marketplaces and market solutions across asset classes and geographies. MIH offers trading in U.S. listed options, equities, futures and options on futures through its wholly-owned subsidiaries MIAX®, MIAX Pearl®, MIAX Emerald®, Minneapolis Grain Exchange (MGEXTM), and provides access to international capital market instruments through its wholly-owned subsidiary The Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSXTM).

As a third-generation Futures Commission Merchant (FCM), Dorman Trading is proud of the service-oriented, customer-centric business model that we have successfully built providing clearing services to our customers for the past 40 years. We are excited to build on our track record by expanding our capabilities and services as we embark on this next step in our history, combining Dorman Trading’s experience as an FCM with MIH’s resources and vision.

As the futures industry continues to evolve, our new ownership will provide opportunities to expand beyond our current services while adding capabilities and resources. This is an exciting time for Dorman Trading and we understand that none of this would be possible without the support and trust of our customers. We sincerely appreciate your business and look forward to continuing to support you as your trusted FCM.

Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions.

Please see links below for the notice, along with the press release.

Sincerely,

Daniel P. Dorman
SVP/Chief Operating Officer

I received the following comm from Dorman

I started clearing Dorman in 1979, and I knew all 3 generations of the Dorman family. Bernie was the patriarch of the family, and arguably one of the nicest individuals on the floor of the CBOT. There weren't many gentlemen in that building, but Bernie was certainly one of them. I was leasing a seat back then and paying $3200 a month for the lease. That's in 1979 dollars and it was a considerable hurdle to jump and provided a great deal of added pressure. When I initially struggled, he would always offer me fatherly advice. He helped me deal with the pressure and was partly responsible for my success.
