Not sure where to put this. I am new I would like to grab my workspaces, charts and indicators from an NT 7 installation with one broker and move it to another NT7 with another broker. If someone could clue me in on what files to copy and move or any concerns about to NT7 on one machine. I would be grateful.

I think the built-in backup and restore in ninja would make it.

I like Button Trade, you can try it out because free demo version is available.

Just to add my findings here:

- Button Trader is ways superior to Bracket Trader.
- NinjaTrader 7 / IB is working well.
- NinjaTrader 6.5 / IB was (and still is) sweomthing like a disaster.

You should have two broker accounts, for safety reasons. If one does not work, you still have a redundancy.

Hello, Mr. Tails. I had a lot of trouble loading charts and getting data with IB/NT7, so I have reverted to NT6.5 . Are there any special tricks to it such as using a certain build of TWS with NT7 ? I really like NT7 apart from that issue, I dont want to let my strategy run free under 6.5 when everyone reports that 7 is much better. Thank you, Fat.

That is strange. I have changed from NT 6.5. to NT 7.0. because NT 6.5. always crashed on loading data. With NT 7.0 there are no more crashes, but everyrthing is fine.

I use the recommended build TWS 906 with NT 7.0.0.22

I always first-connect to Kinetick EOD (because it is loading better and the data has a much better quality, for instance it uses the settlement price instead of the last price for the close).

I then second connect to Interactive Brokers. Intraday-Data loading smoothly.

What exactly are your troubles?

Thanks for your help, Mr. Tails. Well, the trouble I'm having is that data doesn't load quickly enough or at all. I have the latest TWS, I always download the latest, isn't that what every good user should do? I shall follow your kind advice and report back, over the weekend.

Just send me a private message. If necessary we can fix that via Skype. Again, the only reason I switched to NT 7.0 early, is the fact that it does not crash on data loading from IB but is pretty stable. With NT 6.5. I had at least 2 crashes per day on data loading, with NT 7.0 none.
