To the best of what Rithmic informed me the OCO on R|Trader via the Rithmic feed does reside on their server not the local machine.

it's not on the server that counts, it's on the exchange that is important

there is only 1 dom that works and it's a static dom

all the rest are useless crap, if people tell you otherwise they have no clue what they are talking about

you WILL lose money using not a static dom, you will click on a price and price will have moved and you will enter on the wrong price = not useable

Lose money? Profiting from the market is a state of mind. There is a live P/L is on the left column of my previous picture. Depends on how you use the DOM.

This picture shows a fill at to close my position at .99. I'm almost certain I would NOT have been filled using Ninny. I don't want to get into a debate about it. Just sharing my experience so users can decide for themselves the pros and cons.

Adjusting the stop or target is a pain on the dynamic, no doubt about that.

OCO orders or synthetic orders (OCO one fill versus another, OCO/MOC, etc) are not accepted on the exchange but many small/large qunat/algo traders nowadays do rely on these order types. The next best solution is to place those orders on servers that reside outside their machines especially if those solutions proven to be credible. There is no perfect solution when the exchanges don't accept it, so the question becomes a viable next best alternative solution.

you are wrong

the only reason they don't make it static is because it's a patent by TT.

I scalp 2, 5, 10 and 20 to 100 sized trades. if I click on price it needs to be that price and not another one, with the dynamic dom it happens that price shifted under your mouse and you got a wrong fill

Darn, I was hoping they would make it static soon. TT has a great system. Its only 3 days with it R/T so far. Will continue for now as its working for me. .

Check out Sierra Chart and their Rithmic integration. There's a static DOM, a chart DOM, or trading directly from the chart. You can place trades from either SC or Rtrader as well as manage existing trades from either as well. They offer a free trial.

MultiCharts is static as well.

Hi

With R Trader, I know you can enter bracket orders which are released to the market at a particular time. But when you hit "enter" after entering the order into the DOM, does this entire order reside on Rithmic's servers, so that I can turn off my computer if needed and the entire bracket order is controlled by Rithmic's servers?

Cheers

Adam

R|TRADER bracket (OCO) orders will reside on Rithmic's server if you use the Rithmic feed. I am not sure as to other feeds that are used on R|Trader. However, I would not encourage any trader to turnoff their computer while orders are working.

As you say I do not want to get into a debate about it, but attached I include two examples of my experience. I asked about this to my broker, but no answer, any clue...

I have more strange things like these but only as an example for the people that justify all the problems arguing latency: I have two PC (with no big differences) and I have seen when there is high volume how the PC with a demo account give the information faster than the other with the real account (with the same network in ethernet and NT as platform) is possible to see how the one minutes candles of the real account last more time than the candles in the demo which change faster, the information in real is dealyed; and more strange is that the demo was from Zen-Fire and the real account from Rithmic, when is supposed that Rithmnic is faster than Zen-Fire.

On the other hand I need a rope: I have to install RTrader and when I click in the "exe" only appear just for an instant the black screen of cmd, but I cannot install the program, any clue about how to do it, please? My broker also doesn't give me any clue and I am bored to ask (I have W7 32 bits).
