You can compare this with flying a jet fighter on a simulator with 15 min delayed images, compared to where the jet is supposed to be... I guess, you might hit a rock before it showed up on your screen...
Joking apart, delayed quotes are for testing and learning.
Not for real money / real time trading.
But I won't call this guy stupid, just incredible naive. And this is a very bad trait to have in the world of trading.
I agree English is not his native language, but what he wrote seemed coherent to me (not a language issue but instead a complete lack of understanding the basic concepts).
Perhaps we can let it lie now. I would feel a little bad to continue jumping on him. Some jumping was OK, because the idea was not going to work out, and it's good to tell someone so if there's a chance it will do them some good.
Hopefully, he'll understand and will think about it some more. If not, then when he loses money maybe he will think about it some more. Or, as @Big Mike said, maybe he will just forget about trading....
ThE brain works with backward data but if you want to scalp use real time data in order to help your brain and account.
All at some point we have been very naive
Assuming this isn't a troll your answer is simply no you can jnot scalp with a delayed feed. I would not even recommend using a delayed feed for long term trading, if that is what you are asking.
hi perhaps you might have posted similar questions on brokers/feeds. maybe you did get your answer though the question was a little hard to understand. If not i guess you should post away..typically is a friendly atmosphere here if the question is serious. do not worry about the kind of question
I KNOW Extern Feed is BETTER, its SIMPLE to UNDERSTAND THIS BUT...
(I KNOW broker with their own feed CAN MAKE WHAT THEY WANT, EVEN WHO THEY SAY is THE SAME feed for lower Money.)
IT is POSSIBLE use BROKER FEED example: CQG FEED OVER …
may want to check and understand this better and what it really means. however as many have said you cannot scalp ticks with delayed data. Delayed data can be used for analysis and has many other uses. perhaps used for analysis/ to model or give you a framework of transpired events. Many do with not just delayed...but EOD.
anyways suggest if you do need more info....do post and am sure people will point.
