Hi,

Broker: Interactive Brokers.
TWS will log off automatically once a day.

Until now I could prevent that (with IBContoller).

But since the last Update of TWS (903.7) IBController doesnt work.

Anyone an idea? The automatic logout sabotages my tick-recordings.

Thank you!

I have been using workspace macro to change the time each day, I did not know there was such a thing as IBController. Will download, thanks. I am assuming they will eventually upgrade the IBController, if not and you need features in the new version of TWS, then you might try a macro program, it does the job and also makes loading strategies much faster and easier, otherwise I am just planning to stick with the old version.

@vega: I hope this macro recorder is very reliable, or that you using it with your paper account, that looks a bit dangerous

@Henrik: IB have a lot of good things, I'm with them for years now, but IB datafeed, time based or ticks (which are badly aggregated ticks, 4 snapshots/seconds, no more...) is really not the first choice...

Whats the alternative (Spot FX)?
Only MB.
But MB have bad bugs with NT (crashed if a strategy manage a position over the rollovertimes, with NT6.5 and also NT7beta).

Auto Log Off TWS:
I try another tool, I've forget the name of this tool, I write it down tomorrow here.

The name of the another tool: TWSStart_2_4.

But I'm not sure if this works for the daily auto log out.

TWSStart is perfekt!
This tool disable the daily log out of IB.
Easy and better alternate to IBController!

i have always found the auto log off to be a nuisnance. i am looking at twsstart and it looks like it just auto-logs it back on after log off? does it really just disable the auto log off feature? could you give details on how to configure twsstart to do this?
thanks
