Hi @hyperscalper,

Thanks for the info again it's very helpful to myself and I guess a lot of others as well.

I recently built a new Intel 13 Gen med to high end system and am very interested to optimize as much as humanly possible and just had a couple of questions if you don't mind, any input you could provide would be very much appreciated!!!

With regards to optimizing our "home" networks are there any online guides as how to go about doing this in a way that you state in your post?
I have been unable to find any information of value so far, so if at all possible could you please assist in guiding us layman to a webpage or site which will assist us in optimizing our networks for optimal throughput.

I've been optimizing my system for gaming as recommended but would like to ask a couple of questions please.

Would you disable Nagle's Algorithm?

Would you turn on Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling?
I skimped a little on my GPU but no issues so far, I'm running 3 1440p monitors off of a RX 6700XT. with a fourth 1440p running off of the CPU doing fine so far

Again, really appreciate your input.

Best Regards,
Torento.

Thread: NinjaTrader Brokerage Services (https://www.ninjatraderbrokerage.com)Reply to Thread

A little off-topic. It would be better to use a new thread or use an existing one (for instance, when I type something as simple as "computer" in the Search box at the top right corner of every page, I get 94 results just as of tonight. A more focused search would find others.) We like to keep the forum at least slightly organized, so it's more useful to others.

But if @hyperscalper wants to reply here, that would be all right. Anything more, in the way of further questions/answers (as there always are) really would become a discussion about @torento's computer, and should not go in this thread.

Sorry, not trying to squash discussion, just want it to be somewhat about the current topic, at least most of the time.

Bob.

Does anyone know if there's a guide on how to interpret statements from Ninjatrader?

I'm reading my daily statements just fine on a daily basis, but now that I'm looking into my monthly statements from last year on an account with two sub-accounts including withdrawals and transfers between accounts, it's all a bit confusing to me. I realize I can ask NT directly, but they're closed today.

Is there a number that simply shows the net P&L across both accounts?

Thank you for the quick reply. Received and answered.

I think I understand them better now since my prior post, but unless I'm mistaken, I do need to make my own calculations for example on months where there have been a transfer/withdrawal. Basically, there isn't a single line which clearly states "Net P&L" for quick reference.

Yes, your understanding is correct, due to the fact that it is across multiple accounts.

Maybe it's just me, but I do find it a bit complicated. Maybe it's the industry standard. I only ever used Ninjatrader for futures trading.

Now, would you agree that it's odd that you can't provide a yearly statement for international clients which simply summarizes the net P&L for a given year?

When I was trading with Dorman through Ninja they always provided this. Never heard anything about not offering it to clients outside the US.

I find it very hard to understand why not and what's preventing Ninjatrader to create such a summary for international clients.

I upgraded to 8.1.1.1, maybe too soon, but, oh well.

I had a very costly occurrence and this behavior/bug will be repaired in the next release (next week, I'm told). I don't know, if this bug should have been found in pre release testing or not, but it was very expensive for me.

Having said that, I have no thoughts of changing platforms or brokers. Overall, I am quite satisfied with fill and executions, even trading out of Anchorage. My trades are 5 seconds to 1minute in duration.

There is a thread in the ninjatrader support forum. Under my username: kempotrader. I'd provide the link here, but I'm not sure if it's kosher.

As a follow up to the above post: My issue was fixed in the 8.1.1.2 release.

I would also add that I like the trading portal and desktop integration. I doubt that I would ever trade on the web or my phone, though.

The integration of live performance statistics is also quite nice.

Overall, I feel that Ninja really does a good job with customer service and platform development. YMMV

(I will now crawl back into the hole from whence I came)

Okay. So, I think I was able to get my taxes right by manually summarizing across all my accounts.

I sent an e-mail to Ninjatrader to ask them if they could confirm if I was in the ballpark.

Their answer?

If I wasn't able to figure it out on my own, they adviced me to hire a professional tax consultant.

Unbelievable - in my opinion.

Surely @NinjaTrader Brokerage would be able to generate this information easily. If not, I'd be very concernced...

Hello,

Thanks for the feedback.

Unfortunately, regulations prohibit our team from offering tax advice or anything related.

That said, the original issue regarding multiple account statements has been noted and our team is investigating ways to make this easier in the future.

Thank you.

Nobody is asking for tax advice here.

I'm simply asking for the net P&L for the year 2022 (or any other year). Surely you must have access to this for all your clients? And since you can create monthly statements automatically shouldn't creating a yearly statement be just as easy?

When I was trading with Ninja through Dorman Brokerage they offered this. I don't remember if it was what you guys in the US call a 1099, but it was a single page PDF which showed net P&L for the year.

It's very odd that you offer this to US clients, but none of your international clients.

Thank you.
