With my poor experiences with AMP, I am thinking of changing my second broker (my first one is IB, which I use with Sierrachart and MC.Net).
I have looked around a little and Open E Cry looks interesting, mainly because they support server side OCO with Sierrachart (and I am really beginning to like SC).
I am looking to trade the ES mostly and I am a discretionary trader (are there any left?).
I would be interested to hear from current and former Open E Cry users on how they would rate them.
Do they charge any inactivity fees, if I do not trade for a month or two (happens sometimes)?
In terms of margins, they are more conservative than AMP and some others, but that is ok with me. The commissions on their website are very high, but I assume these can be negotiated down to a more reasonable level.
The quality of the data feed is an other very important consideration, as I do sometimes scalp and in those instances, IB does not work. And I had many disconnection issues with CQG at AMP. So I am looking for a fast, tick accurate and stable data feed. Would OEC's data feed meet these requirements?
Would also be interested in possible alternatives to OEC. One of the key considerations will be, that I need support for server side OCO orders using SC, Multichart.Net, Ninjatrader and/or Market Delta Trader as platform, a fast, tick-accurate and and stable data feed and no inactivity fees as well as good/ responsive support and service. I am based in the UK, so they will need to accept and support customers in the UK.
