I'm looking for a datafeed that can provide me with real time tick and level II data for the Hang Seng Index future. So far the only thing I've found is through esignal but apparently their datafeed is junk on ninja so if anyone can point me in the direction of a good alternative I'd be greatly appreciative.

For example, Zen-Fire is an appropriate data feed which provides data for HSI.

Ok so I'm currently connected to Zen-Fire, and I pulled up the chart of the HSI and it appears blank, which is more than I can say for Kinetick because when connected through them it doesn't even recognize the instrument. I think that the instrument needs configuration through the instrument manager. Would you know how to set it up so that the chart displays?

I didn't pull up an HSI chart before, so I have to admit you are correct on this.

Unfortunately Zen-Fire doesn't have any data for HSI as well.
Although HSI is listed in the instrument manager, NT comes up with an error message which states that HSI is not supported...

Hi all,

Symbol for Kinetick/IQFeed is HKHI.X, however, it is updated only daily.

Thanks.

Robert

After some more searching I've found that with esignal you only get the inside bid and ask and with IB you get snapshot data rather than real time level II... It's rather unfortunate that this instrument is so hard to get to in the United States. It would probably be pretty popular over here due to to the fact that the HKFE opens at 8:00 pm ET. Apparently it's very volatile too

Edit: Not to mention that besides IB MF global was pretty much the only broker to offer the contract, and I think we all know what happened to them.

Not only that, but eSignal does not offer continuous contracts so historical data become an issue too.

Trust me, its a battle to find a good Broker/Data combo for the retail trader interested in the HSI, or the K200 for that matter.
