as far as I know - that stuff is automatic - you don't have to mess with the dates ..

if it is a monthly contract and not a quarterly one then load all months from January and increase your lookback period to about 150 days ..

I would like to see what it looks like.

Use instrument manager to load the different contracts, keep data options the same and then exit and re-enter Ninja ..

Attach a screenshot of what you see

it looks to me like it is a quarterly contract ..

Contract Specifications for FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI Index Futures (FKLI) - Oriental Pacific Futures - Futures Broker Malaysia

Therefore the months that you need to load in the instrument manager are

03-13, 06-13, 09-13 and of course for now 12-13

Get rid of any other months instruments as you would never know it might cause confusion.

Exit .. and load it up again .

hello podski,

hmm...still looks the same though. another way (taught by the agent) is actually to use KLI##-## and KLI 10-13 (current month) to see the data.

i understand that kinetick does the rollover thing for certain more popular contracts only....maybe urs is one of them..

but thanks again for your help/reply...

let's see if there are others who might be able to help me with this

thanks again.

db

Hi dimpledbrain,

Sorry for stealing your post, as I am unable to message to you directly, restricted by Big Mike.

I am interested to use Ninjatrader to trade in Bursa Malaysia too. Need to know a few things, hope you can help.

1) Which broker do you use that is supported by Ninja Trader?
2) I saw that you were using Kinetick data, how much do you pay?

Thanks!

Hey dimpledbrain, as coincident as it seems, I am also looking for a way to find the data feed of FCPO into Ninjatrader.

I am using a proprietary software from my local (malaysian) broker, but it just doesn't have the features I want, especially the Market Depth.

Any chance you receive any replies on this? Did you manage to trade FCPO (Demo/Live) in Ninjatrader? Appreciate some feedback from anyone about this question. Thanks.

Btw, I know ESIGNAL has FCPO data, about USD55 per month. you may check out their website. It is good for backtesting though. But personally I would prefer Ninjatrader.

Thanks again
Y
