Thanks for hosting the webinar Mike. I guess it's time to look at Dorman (I use RCG) as it was mentioned BigTick can only be used with Dorman. Can I get opinions on Dorman and anything related to Eurex/Dorman as I am primarily a Bund trader?

Overall I like where Mirus are going with Big Tick but for now I can't use it. Keeping an eye out for when Eurex gets added to the exchange roster. Added my name to the demo list to try it out though.

I noticed at the beginning the presenter indicated BigTick will adjust the incoming data to the capability of the connection/computer. To me that implies the data is aggregated or massaged in some way. Then later he answered yes to a question whether the BigTick data is unfiltered.

Being as I switched from IB to Zen-Fire for the unfiltered data, this is very important to me. Will a tick data chart with BigTick be exactly the same as a tick data chart with Zen-Fire? I would like some reassurance on this question...

Thanks,

As a current Mirus / Dorman client, I can't see any advantage by switching from Zen-Fire to BIGTICK as long as I don't use any mobile device.

But maybe I missed something that would convince me to do so...

BIGTICK's serverside OCO has value for me. With zenfire it's managed locally in PC.

Missed the webinar due to work schedule, but looks like they added the charts into the web-trader?

Is it okay to trade live on the web-trader or is it still only in BETA?

Just took a quick look and here's my opinion, which might not be correct as always since they deal with someone else's proprietary API and technical features:

1. I think one huge difference is that one will be actively developed and supported while the other won't. If you've gone through the API, ZF uses a notoriously vulnerable encryption protocol and has many missing, incomplete features that will never be filled because they stopped development.

2. I'm not really familiar with what they mean by dynamic data distribution and perhaps they should clarify that a bit. Even the compression on a low-end feed like NxCore barely uses the resources of a legacy machine, so it's hard to understand the incremental benefit that dynamic distribution provides. ZF uses UDP for data delivery and naturally just drops packets on a narrow pipe, so it is 'dynamic' in some sense.

3. I'm also not very clear how the advertised dynamic order routing feature works with regards to futures exchanges since they use centralized matching engines.
