I have registered to attend. Given that I am in Australia I am unsure if I can get in due to other commitments but will make every effort.
I am looking to open an account with FXCM and have listed with their beta group but no response as yet.
My big question and a huge problem I have had with other brokers is.
1) Can I trade past roll over. I require to be connected and stay connected if I want to carry a trade for a day or 2.
I use automated strategies that move my stops etc and I need that connection. If they can do this simple yet seemingly impossible task I will gladly open a FX account.
2) Instructions on how to open account for Ninja on their website its confusing.
Suhail Afzal is a Brand Ambassador at FXCM and Brad Gleason is a Senior Automated Trading Tech at FXCM, and both gentlemen will be monitoring this thread so that they may answer any questions that you post here relating to the products and services offered …
You should use that thread if you have questions for FXCM ahead of or after the webinar.
You can upgrade your current single-broker NinjaTrader license to include FXCM as a broker for free, just email support at ninjatrader.com -- FXCM will pay for it.
Also, reminder that live and historical data is free with FXCM, there is no time limit, no trial expiration, etc. Very important...
One of the questions that arose in the FXCM / NT webinar concerned whether or not OCO orders are held on FXCM's servers (server side) or the client's PC (client side). Our presenters agreed that server side was the answer, and referred to the new (as of last week) Rev12 of NinjaTrader 7 has having implemented it.
I went to the Release Notes for Rev 12 and could find no mention of a change to server side OCO's for FXCM so I e-mailed Raymond Stein of Ninja this morning. Here's his response regarding this question:
"Regarding the server side OCO with FXCM, I must apologize as I responded incorrectly during the event… server side OCO is not currently supported with the NinjaTrader – FXCM connection. I was incorrectly referencing the CQG updates that you mentioned. I know our development team is working on supporting this and hopefully they will be able to implement it in the next update to the software. "
