Chris, I just got my hands on the Alpha version so give me some time to play with it and I will post some details. The charts will be part of the auto spreader as you can chart the custom spreads that you create. I will post more as I get more information.

Thanks Brian

My complaints about the platform have been shared with CQG a few times, seems they have other agendas than my issues, which I understand. That being said, Brian, maybe you could explain to the forum your primary client, and who you guys focus on the most, as there are some basic options your platform does not offer that when inquired about, one is told something along the lines of 'this is harder to change than you think and although we know about it, its not on our horizon anytime soon.' As I said, I understand that, but given your feature set (basic charts, basic ladders, limited customization, CST only, new options page seemed very important and now an autospreader) seems you are focused on technology limited ex-chicago floor traders that want simple execution with charting in a very competitive price point.

Thanks.

Frank, we don't focus one one particular trading group but rather try to continue to move our product forward. We develop what we hear users want and try to improve what we already offer. Options and auto spreader have been two huge projects that are finally hitting their last stages of development and we are excited to deliver them to the marketplace. We try to prioritize the best we can so I know some request get pushed back and some not looked at period. We will always circle back and review the request but we also need to maintain the current system to provide solid connectivity. You can give me a list of specific features you want and I will respond.

Thanks Brian

Hello Brian,

I am looking to automate a gamma scalping/ delta hedging strategy using the option greeks of a portfolio.
Could I use CTS or the CTS API for this purpose? Any insight would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

We are only a few weeks away from launching our new options platform. I know we will have all the Greeks but I am not sure about the automation. I will reach out to my developers to get clarification for your question.

Thanks Brian

Sure... interested in the autospreader like everyone else, not only to use it to trade spreads, but also to chart non-exchange traded spreads. It looks like thats almost up and running.

Basic stuff, I think some of this has been posted in the previous CTS thread:
-Cant change charts to EST.

-When the dom is in 'auto-recentered' mode, where the price moves around in it and the ladder doesnt move, but you cant scroll the ladder. AKA I cant move the ladder to put a stop above or below whats view-able on the ladder. I presume this is because of TT's licensing issues?

-You cant compress the ladders. Ex: I cant view CL at 90.00, 90.02, 90.04, 90.06, etc.

Additional ladder customization I'd love to have but doubt is in demand by others:
-I'd really like to have a right click button option without it being viewed on the ladder. I'd like to set it in the main options and not see it on the ladder, or set it per each ladder and make it invisible... doesnt matter.

-I'd like to be able to customize the volume bar, instead of just being able to add or subtract and it and change the volume amounts. All I want are 3 volumes up there that are easy to click... in my case: 1, 5 and 10. That huge volume bar not only has 10 different volume amounts, but then has 3 different options within that, thereby making 30 different left click options available on your ladder... plus this is also available again on the 'left click' and 'right click' volume display. Its very redundant. I'm not here to debate it, I am sure the traders exist... but who needs 30 different clickable volumes available to them anyway!

-I'd also like to have my bids and offers show in one column as an option. TT has this.

-There a lot of 'features' on your ladder that arent customizable. Ex: Some ladders I used stops on, some I dont. The ability to remove things from the order toolbar per each ladder, instead of the main menu would be great. Even better would be the ability to then add my 3 volume options referenced earlier here, so the pull order button isnt sitting there alone taking up all that screen real estate on every ladder.

Frank, we can take some of this into consideration. Yes we have restrictions on the ladder due to TT patents. We are not trying to copy TT so some of the features they have we are not looking to implement. We try to make the entire platform as customization as possible to try to please the majority but sometimes we have limitations regarding our structure and sometimes it is just a matter of prioritizing and finding the time to implement.

Thanks Brian

@CTS1

Brian,

Will CTS ever expand its offering of exchanges? Specifically interested in brokertec, nasdaq omx, and govex.

We are always open to new Exchanges but it it measured by customer demand. Since we host the system we do not charge the user or firm per exchange so we need to monitor the cost associated with adding another exchange. You can mention to your firm the additional exchanges you would like to see and we can survey all firms for their interest.

Thanks Brian
