Brian,

I recently started using CTS for execution (and charts) and it has been a big improvement from Ninja/Pats. I am still using Ninja for charts but the speed of CTS for execution has been great.

Anyway, how do I consolidate days on the mkt profile charts? For instance, I would like to consolidate this weeks (Monday thru Thursday) profile.....

thanks

right click a profile and select 'merge w/ previous date'.

I think they're developing a better way to merge them in a future frontend release.

Does T4 support CBOE VIX options? Broker (RCG) says it is only with CQG.

We have a flatten button, but we do not have a flatten and reverse or a reverse button.

Thanks,

Yes as per Big Mikes reply im talking about the ability to automate certain stop loss and profit target strategies, for example you could automate something like the following once i've entered the market with 5 contracts:
- set initial stop loss for all 5 contracts at -5ticks
- set 2 different profit targets, one at +5 ticks for 3 contracts, one at +10 ticks for the final 2 contracts
- When price moves 3 ticks in my favor, automatically move the stop to breakeven
- When price moves 7 ticks in my favor move the stop for the remaining position to breakeven+3

Something along those lines...

Thanks.

shzhning, we are beta testing what I will call bracket orders. The ability to enter into a trade and have a variety of stop and profit levels. You will be able to create numerous scenarios and save for future use. We have trailing stops now on T4 but I need to check how that will work for these bracket orders. Our goal is to have this released in early February.

Thanks Brian

Change the Order Confirmation settings

Contract - CTS Wiki

Sorry about the last post. I actually meant that inspite of chosing order confirmation being set to "none" in the main window settings>contract I still get a ticket window pop up everytime I send an order. Any way to eliminate that ? I would think if you dont want order confirmation you don't get order confirmation and the order gets executed.

Gary,

The order confirmation setting only applies to order entries through the contract window's bid/offer columns. So if you are left clicking on a price level in the bid column you shouldn't see an order ticket, but if you were to right click in the "My B" or "My O" columns in the contract window it will pull up a ticket. Also, if you are entering orders via the quoteboard you will still see the ticket pop up. If you have any more questions about this please send us an email at support@ctsfutures.com and we can help you further.

Thanks,
Brian

Notice from CTS:

Quoting
CTS Users:
In an effort to help alleviate the new market data fees CTS will now offer delayed data for CME, CBOT, NYMEX, COMEX and MGEX.
Any user can go the market data setup page, http://www.t4login.com/live/, and change their selection to “Delayed”. On the new frontend released this past weekend all Delayed markets will be prefixed with the << symbol to eliminate any confusion.
• Live execution is available from the delayed data markets.
• Your P&L will be displayed based on the delayed quote but pre trade risk management will use the real time data
• You may choose to have a combination of Live and Delayed data. Subscriptions are selected at the Exchange level for CME, CBOT, NYMEX and COMEX. For example you can choose Live for CME and CBOT but receive delayed data for NYMEX or COMEX.
• CTS’s T4 Delayed Feed is an exchange compliant market data feed delivering a complete market data stream after a brief 10 minute delay.
• When entering an order into a Delayed market you will be prompted to confirm as the price you are seeing may be different from the current price due to the delay. You can turn this confirm off in the Main window properties >Contract> Submission> then unchecking the 'Delay Market Confirmation' setting.
• Not all order types are available in Delayed markets
• After making any market data changes you must restart T4 for the changes to take effect

Our feed does not work with Ninja. It does work with Sierra Chart for a 3rd party vendor. We do not charge for the simulation platform. You get two weeks of free live data. If you are asking for our live production fees they can be found at the bottom of this link. CTS | Cunningham Trading Systems

can you please clarify if am correct in my assumption. We need to get the platform and it has associated fees for ex:Core+Charting

Exchange fees for the CME takes me to https://www.cme-equotes.com/packages/pricing
question:- is it sufficient to get the Basic edition if charting & analytic's not desired. Am guessing Basic quotes will provide a feed with T&S and Level 2.

thnx

Yes the $25 basic package will include all quotes for products you have permission to view from your clearing firm.

I honestly do not know which ones will accept a Canadian trader. Having said that i do know RJO has a Canadian branch so I would assume they do. Here is our list if you want to contact and ask.

Hello,

I wanted to create a custom script that can draw horizontal lines at various price levels.

For Eg, I wrote the follwing code so that after loading the indicator, it will immediately draw two horizontal lines at two price levels 43.45 and 43.82. As per the syntax mentioned here PLOT_LINE - CTS Wiki

I wrote the following code.. but this is not working. Why ? Please help.

//code starts
PLOT_LINE(43.45);
PLOT_LINE(43.82);
//code ends

I also tried the following combinations so that I can make the lines look differnet. But this is also not working..

//code starts
PLOT_LINE(43.45 , 1 , Color.Red, LineStyle.Solid);
PLOT_LINE(43.82, 1 , Color.Black, LineStyle.Dash);
//code ends

By the way, there are no errors. I see green flag on top right corner. So, why are the horizontal lines not showing up ?? :- (
PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Regards.

Karthik,

Your code works in terms of drawing lines, but what product are you looking at? If it's CL, remove the decimal and you should see the lines on your chart. We do not receive CL data from the exchange with a decimal, so we do not display it with a decimal. The price instead appears as 4345 or 4382, not 43.45 or 43.82. You can also use our pre-made horizontal line tool shown in the screenshot below. Just select Horizontal Line from the pointer dropdown menu, then click on the chart at the desired price level to draw the line.

Thanks,
Brian

Hi there,
I was recently trading using Easyscreen and they had a great function on the DOM.
They had the normal volume profile next to the price ladder that built up through the day as normal.
However, there was an extra function where you could add another volume profile column, and the profile started collating from the moment the new profile was opened up OR when you pressed a reset button at any point. So there were two profiles next to each other.

To explain why this was so useful, it meant you could restart the profile for the afternoon session after the morning session (I'm in the UK so UK session and US session can be separated).

Another GREAT use is just before big news comes out. If there is a surprise number then this new profile is painted using buying and selling that is reacting to the new situation which is vital. But if this buying and selling is taking place within the existing volume profile then you can't see a thing.

Does the current price ladder have this capability, and if not is there a chance that this could be added?

Thanks,
Bootsyjam

Hi Brian, thanks for the public forum to ask these questions. I have a non-technical quesion: does CTS have any plans to offer a "dark theme" (see: this thread)? If not, can you let us know if there are (or aren't) any plans to add it in a future update?

Brian,

11 months later, I'm still interested in this...I saw that you added more color customization options several months ago, but will there be an option to simply toggle between light/dark themes for those who want to? Although it's nice if you want to change one color here and there, the cumbersome process of selecting a color for each of the more than 50 different elements in order to create your own dark theme isn't doable since there are still limitations on what elements you can change colors for.
