Hi All,

I would like to subscribe to a live data feed for the CME's e-mini futures (M6E, M6B, etc) which I will be using with NinjaTrader. I am not looking to trade the instruments so I am not necessarily looking for a broker. I just need the live data feed.

What are the cheapest options available? The only thing im aware of is Kinetick which I believe comes in at $50 flat monthly fee + $30 for CME e-mini. So that would be $80 per month. It would then cost an additional $20 / month for market depth.

Any other cheaper options out there while still keeping good data quality?
Would it be cheaper to just sign up to a broker and get the data from them even though I wont be trading live?

Thanks.

IQFeed may still offer to waive certain CME fees for participating brokers, which might make the overall costs less relative to other feed packages if your broker qualifies.

That's probably your best 'bet' to go with IQFeed. Otherwise, you can also use Rithmic (as far as I know they don't require a monthly fee, but this might have changed since I last checked). Plus with Rithmic you'll have historical backfill for NinjaTrader (not other platforms though).

Thanks for the replies. A quick look at the Kinetick and IQFeed websites gave me the following prices:

Kinetick:
$50 / month subscription
$30 / month CME e-mini
$20 / month market depth
Total: $100 / month

IQFeed:
$50 once off startup fee
$68 / month basic service subscription
$30 / month CME e-mini
$20 / month market depth
Total: $118 / month (plus once off $50)

So it seems like Kinetick is cheaper.

@bnichols you mentioned a possible waver of exchange fees for qualifying brokers. I presume that wouldn't apply in my case since I wont be using a broker. I just want the data. Or am I misunderstanding you?

I haven't been able to find any pricing on the Rithmic website.

Thanks.

For those wanting IQFeed, check the Elite Partners section, there are some significant discounts:

Rithmic is not a data feed per se. It is an execution feed used by your broker, which happens to double as a data feed depending on your exact requirements. While your broker pays Rithmic to use their technology, and that means they are "charging you" technically in terms of commission costs to execute trades, there is no separate charge for Rithmic by itself.

Oh ok thanks. I didn't know that. I guess ill go with Kinetick for the time being then.

Basically all im looking for is a live feed for the e-mini's so that I can sim trade it. Not looking for live trading.

Kinetick is best choice then if you are using only NinjaTrader.

BTW, I don't think the CME fee waivers will apply until you fully fund your account and place some trades. CME wants evidence they are making money off you before they give you the waiver...
