A few things I wanted to point out that came up (albeit a long time ago) in this thread so far:
One big gotcha I've noticed with the direct edition of NinjaTrader is no OCO orders.
Secondly, re-calculating average price of open positions overnight is a common practice I thought - "marking to market". I don't know of any brokers that do not do this on positions held overnight?

Back on topic though, I've been considering Mirus heavily lately as Amp is charging me higher commissions than what they quoted me and no one seems interested in fixing it. Does anyone know of any sort of baseline commissions Mirus charges by chance?

Also: I heard the disconnect issue yesterday was caused by a large outbound ISP or something

The problems with zenfire yesterday were about their ISP connection of their login servers. I was in touch with zenfire and they said this 'outage' happened due to Level 3 & Global Crossing merger and it seems yesterday they migrated their accounts which caused unexpected outages to some of their customers, incl zenfire.

Mirus seems very straightforward and consistent with their commissions. I'm charged exactly what they publish on their site, and you should expect the same:

Standard Rates | Mirus Futures

The above rates exclude exchange fees (as noted). The total round-turn for ES/YM/NQ ends up being $4.40 for me.

Oops, I somehow completely missed looking at that page, thanks for that info. After looking at https://www.cmegroup.com/company/files/CME_Fee_Schedule.pdf I take it you do a lot of round turns since exchange fee is 25c or so unless you are a member.

I trade Eurex currently so that doesnt really help me though :P I'll just shoot 'em an email.

Actually, make that $4.42 per RT for me, and no, I'm neither a member nor a high volume trader.

Huh ok. How does that work out then? Lets assume $2.10 per side on ES

2.10
2.10
+ .25 + .25 exchange fees
= 4.70.
Maybe you have a few cent discount or I have the exchange fees wrong

I am sure working with Mirus has positive sides....here is one negative from today.....(you can read more on NT forum at Orders below last traded price - [AUTOLINK]NinjaTrader[/AUTOLINK] Support Forum ) .......

so, not all sim trading order executions are available in live trading.......Mirus will not allow you to on-the-fly convert stop order to market order.......what that means is, you basically cannot place your order and then later change it to a better-priced order if the current market price presents itself........I've attached an avi file (inside zip file) demonstrating order modification I am talking about........in short, Mirus will deny you market scalping ..... this limitation is imposed by Mirus and not NT, Exchange or Dorman (confirmed by Mirus on-staff developer) ...... maybe this is non issue with slow markets, but I think it is really crippling trade options in fast markets such as CL or today's 6E ... attached images show lost profit of +4t when order modification was executed........

why not try SIM first to see if it works?......well, that is my where my problem is with Mirus...........in SIM they let you think that such order modification is possible but try it live and you'll learn the opposite .......

Are people still running into this problem with Mirus?
