Currently i'm searching historical tick data for some european futures and metals. There are plenty of firms targeting retail- or institutional customers. The price differences are huge and there are tiny tiny companies who sold complete exchanges (but not my symbols). It seems that they record the stuff in realtime and sell it later. What about buying from institutional data vendor and sell to a larger base of retail customers? Is that prohibited by the inst. data vendors general business terms or by law general?
It's very annoying that you can buy rich tick data for 120 days for all exchanges for a few hundred bucks and if you want to have a little longer lookback period (1-2 years) you have to spend (ten) thousands of bucks.
Whats about (in legal terms) of sharing the recorded IQFeed data here at BM?
