I was just recently with FXCM for about 2 weeks using NinjaTrader and I was extreemly disapointed with how the platform would perform connected to there API . The main problem was they offer around 72 currency pairs to trade and I know most of them are exotics but..... I could only get data from there API to support only 3 pairs and it took forever for charts to load. The spread they charge is usually 1-2 pips higher then many of their competitors so I found no reason to stay with them. Since then I have connected Ninjatrader to MB Trading which has been very pleasing in all aspects, I get much tighter spreads and Ninjatrader works great with all there currency pairs and the charts load up in a acceptable amount of time.
Just a FYI I would like to mention that FXCM states you can fund the account with your CC and withdraw with your CC but after finding out the hard way they only let you withdraw if you upgrade to a standard account. In other words if you put $500 in a micro account and try to take it out later you cant without putting in another $500 to upgrade to standard.
also I told support at FXCM about the problems with NinjaTrader and they knew that was on there end not mine.
Good Luck in your trading Quantismo
