I find it odd that the historical data is there in Zenfire and will show in minute bars but it cannot be interpreted by other bar types. Wouldn't that require some fairly basic programming?
Can you clarify with an example what you mean by "cannot be interpreted by other bar types" ? Zen-Fire supports historical tick, minute and daily bars which drive all default bar types in NinjaTrader.
I use Rithmic and am very happy with it (with Optimus Futures). Even when it disconnects (rarely) it comes back quickly which is great. Unlike previous feed (CQG) which although I found faster than Rithmic when it disconnected it would stay that way for sometimes several minutes.
Thanks TrendTrader. What I am seeing is that the Rithmic data gets stored every day and the Zenfire data goes live in real time. Apparently, every day I open MC will give me one more day of stored Rithmic data. At least that is how I am understanding things so far.
I use the historical tick data from zenfire (via mirus futures) -- but it only goes back 12 months
So in the NT historical data manager for say... the ES1211 contract -- there is no tick data. only minute data.
I have not been able to figure out if this is a limitation due to Ninjatraders servers, Zenfire itself or Mirus
Any insights would be appreciated.
