Had it about a week in my painful departure from Tradestation. Running it on both Ninja and MC and have had nothing but problems:

The biggest and most problematic is it constantly defaults to delayed data on the CME futures. I have chatted with customer service online and it usually starts working with a reboot and clearing out cache/data etc for each symbol. It cannot be app dependent because both Ninja and MC display same problem. It starts working ok for a day then I wake up to hit European session and BAM delayed again.

Second and almost as frustrating is i cannot download (for any symbol) the infamous 120 days of historical data (NOTE - EVEN after market hours).

They have 24 hours left and counting....

Questions for futures.io (formerly BMT)ers: Has anyone ever had similar issues and what did you do/who did you contact to fix it? If i have to dump IQ, what feeds do you recommend? I am using IB as a broker but want data that is a bit more robust....Sadly - i think the answer might be: TRADESTATION?

in case others have this problem, it was/is (at least we think that is the case) caused by the multicharts settings for the various futures not being correct right out of the box. I have no idea (nor do i really care) if it was an MC or IQfeed issue.

we will see how it works tomorrow.

Note: I was having the same issue with IQ and Ninja. Quite frankly I was exasberated and did not check on it.

You should not have any problems with Ninja / IQ feed. This combination is robust and should work fine.

Your problems point to one of the following

-> bandwith problems with your internet connection
-> custom indicators that slow down the processing, false settings for indicators
-> too many symbols connected in parallel

The problem is probably on your side. If you want some help, you should be more specific and not only cry that you have tons of problems.

"no indicators on charts," what time frame or type of charts are you populating, and how many charts, (5m, 10m, 4tick or 144tick any volume studies)?

"fresh load of computer" ......... I'm not sure what this means.

Not sure what "plenty of internet speed" is, if you're having problems, (MORE than 10D/2U Mbps?) to the generic server in Chicago. Post a screen shot/snip of a Speedtest Download/Upload Speed test. Speedtest.net - The Global Broadband Speed Test Have you run a ping test from your command prompt to the IQ Feed server? How about Anti Virus, have you given IQ "a rite of passage" or is your computer trying to scan ALL the data as it arrives?

How many Symbols are you trying to retrieve quotes for? You mentioned another issue with "the infamous 120 days of historical data," again, what stock or future symbol(s) are you trying to get 120 days of data for? e.g., it takes a lot of bars (over 30,000) to to reach back 120 days with a 5m chart. Have you set your Max Bars in file in excess of this # to give you the ability to view the data ? I've found, if I seek answers on a forum, detailed questions get the best results.

Hi-

I'm a new member and can't reply to all threads, so this response is OT for this thread, sorry.....

To greenroomhoo-

A year ago you offered an objective review of Wally's KING methodology. Thank you, it is the best i've been able to find afrer scouring the web for two days.

I am a retired sales trader looking to improve my trading. I mostly trade stocks, but have a futures account at IB.

You mentioned in your review of KING that you were swamped by a plethora of indicators. I too find myself easily swamped and prefer very clean charts with almost no indicators and definately no oscillators!

Could you offer any more insight into KING? Have you used it in the last year, or has it been relegated to that heap of forgotton software and books all of us have?

Regards,

Coop
