Does it make a difference to trade with a brokerage that uses an order
desk as opposed to an electronic order processing?
Will you get stopped out less if there is no one there to see your SL as in a order desk.

Electronic order flow is the best unless you need block trades and playing with millions. And you won't ask this question on futures.io (formerly BMT) if you are really playing with millions. So the short answer is - stop looking for full service broker.

I hope it helps.

If you are really paranoid about your stops and you are disciplined, don't place a stop.

Close your order when you reach your 'virtual stop'

You are 100% safe against others, but you are 0% safe against yourself.

I think there isa mistake here, i think what @camsolution ask is about the difference thru a dealing desk brokers and ecn or stp brokers. I think this problem come almost on the OTC markets, where there are not a centralized exchange, and the problem of stop hunting thru price manipulation from the brokers should not exist on futures.

Take your Pips, go out and Live.
Luke.
