BTW, I just did these steps and it looks like the default settings are wrong in QuoteManager, not sure if the issue is IQFeed's lookup dictionary or MultiCharts.

But you should fix it. In QuoteManager, double click to edit CL#, and go to Settings, change to custom then

Price scale: 1/100
Daily Limit: 10000
Min Movement: 1
Big Point Value: 1000

I think that will at least fix the scaling problem.

So I just tried it and also only got 30 days of tick data. We'll see what Jay says. I have a bunch of tick data if you want to make a thread in Elite CL thread for something specific, I might be able to help.

Talked with Jay @ IQFeed, great guy - he replies so fast He confirmed 120 days is available. So I went ahead and opened an issue with MultiCharts support, I'll reply back with what they say tomorrow. I am running 7.0 alpha, but I assume you are running 6.0 release right?

Yes exactly, running 6.0 right now. I actually tried both the QCL# and CL# instruments. I was told by there support that QCL was most likely the instrument that I should be trading anyways do to activity. Do you agree with that?

Yes, QCL is better, it was my bad. CL is pit only which you don't want. When I later posted the tick data in the other thread, I realized it was QCL but forgot to post back here. Too many things going on at once.

Anyway, I am waiting for MultiCharts to respond to my email tomorrow, we'll see what they say. For now there is now like 20 months of CL tick data posted in that elite thread if you need it.

Odd, it works for me.
I don't use tick charts so the data was not previously loaded.
I set a chart to the date range from jan 1 2010 to current, and loaded a tick chart.
It backfilled from aug 16, 2010.

Interesting. Which instrument did you test? Did you do anything different than my steps?

This morning MultiCharts sent me a patch for the 120 day issue. I am waiting to get more info from them. @benharrell you should email support and ask for the patch for your system as well.

Just got the patch, wont be able to test it until the session is over (they restrict downloading the 120 days to only after the session is finished.)

Also, I posted a question about the tick data you just loaded today, as well as the 2009 data prior to it. I am trying to load it into Multicharts and had just a few questions but wanted to make sure I kept the question in the right thread.

QCL

Just tested with QRB and QHO, which I have never looked at, and they loaded successfully. Very strange.
What is the patch replacing? iqfeed dll?

Looks like its replacing tsIQDataFeed.dll. Did you just try downloading those files, because iQfeed doesn't allow the download of those 120 days of tick data until after the session is over..so that would be odd as well.
