Folks
It seems a lot of us are a bit uncomfortable with the NT platform or with the data feed. Personally, I am using Thinkorswim currently, running on Ubuntu since I have a long hate with Microsoft (going back to the blue screen of death days). That said, ToS has a very basic functional design, but with severe limitations for day trading. I have been looking around a bit (even knowing I will probably have to go back to Windows) and stumbled upon Fast Broker. They have something called Pathfinder Trader, which appears to be a proprietary front end to Open E Cry. The standard commissions look promising.
Does anyone have any experience with this firm and this trader?
Thanks
Papa15

Did an online chat with support at Fastbrokers last night. Answered the questions I had; good experience. Decided to download the 30 day demo of the platform this morning. Has been over an hour and a half of effort but still no download. You fill out a simple form and submit, then wait for a confirmation email. It did not come, so I emailed support per their instructions. The reply was not well written, and basically they told me I did not hit the enter button after I filled out the form......to which I sent them the confirmation page showing I was waiting for their confirmation email (which means I did hit the enter button, huh?)......Not a good way to welcome a potential customer, is it.
Anyway, support emailed me back that they were checking with their programmers and would get back to me pronto.....it has been about 30 minutes since that happened. So, not off to a rousing start....
I downloaded it last night no problem. It's better than most broker platforms but not great. I don't see any atm cababilities or any way to quickly place a bracket order on the chart and the 5-minute data feed was only about 2 weeks long. Will keep looking at it, but so far it unfortunately doesn't seem like a suitable ninja replacement for me.

Truth in advertising....the problem this morning was me....I messed up my email (mixed two of them together), so once corrected, everything went smoothly.
First impression, is this is a good interface but will take some getting use to. I don't program, but this supposedly has a method of easily setting up strategies. I will spend some time on the demo and see if it fits me.....but quite honestly, initial impression is it does not beat ToS by a wide enough margin to make me switch, but I will keep an open mind.
