@kevindog (or anyone else) I have spoken to a number of people about this, however since this is more of an FCM/Exchange issue , I do not feel comfortable putting out my answers in the public domain because your FCM and compliance may have a different perspective. If you call me, I can share my findings.

Ahh, Optimus is an Introducing Broker, not a FCM. I see. I should direct my query about a position offset to a FCM then.

A clearing member can do certain things for the "convenience of a customer". You can take a look at the CME handbook Rule 854(D). Maybe that will answer your question.

Just wanted to put out a good word for @mattz and Optimus Futures: solid service with a personal touch. I got into futures brand new after being in forex. He hooked me up with everything I needed to get started with the variety out there. No headaches, everything smooth and questions answered. If it isn't smooth, all you do is shoot an email or pick up the phone. If he doesn't have the answers he will get you the answers.

I've been with Optimus over 6 years and it's been an excellent experience . Great service, great execution on my trades ..and I can't say enough good things about Matt.
