Optimus Futures trading broker review

EDIT: It's Sunday. That's why I can't connect.

I've been trying to contact tech support using the phone line provided at Optimus Trading Company - Commodity Futures Trading Training
and it is forwarding me to the voicemail. If that is indeed a voicemail for Optimus, I think it would be nice if there could be a message stating so. I feel like it's redirecting me to the phone of a person instead of a company's tech support.

Issue: I've been unable to login using Ninjatrader or R Trader using my login credentials this morning. I haven't changed any settings since last friday (August 15th 2014) and I could connect on that day.

I have in the meantime updated Ninjatrader from 7.0.1000.22 to 7.0.1000.25 after seeing that I could not login. No success so far.

AFAIK, Ninja Trader usually does some maintenance during early hours on the weekend which prevents you from connecting to a data feed, so I think there's no issue on your side.

I can't connect to Rithmic either at the moment, but usually you should be able to connect again in a couple of hours...

I'm usually able to connect from around 6pm EST on sundays.
It's currently Monday 8:16am EST and I still can't connect. I've been waking up at around 5am on weekdays for the past few weeks and have been able to connect at that time.

I'll just do some meditations while things get resolved
Just wanted to make a post in case anyone else was having the issue.

Hmm, since my time zone is 6 hours ahead of yours, it's still Sunday over here...

And I assume you meant 6 am EST on Sundays ?

Monday???

I'm it's 7:30 here CST. But it's SUNDAY.

I sometimes connect during the weekend but many times one or more of the connections is down.
(CQG, Rithmic, Vision(Rithmic) etc)

Right now, CQG will connect but NONE of the Rithmic feeds will connect.

Maybe they are offline.
Many times during weekends they do maintenance or shut them down to prevent hacking when no one is monitoring the connections.

Rejoice in the Thunderstorms of Life . . .
Knowing it's not about Clouds or Wind. . .
But Learning to Dance in the Rain ! ! !

Hello JustinIsHere,

I'm glad to see the futures.io (formerly BMT) community was able to step in and provide some insight -- they are correct in that there is some routine maintenance performed on weekends that would prevent a login during Sunday mornings for example, but Sunday evenings you will be able to login again and resume.

Of course, if you still experience anything out of the ordinary don't hesitate to let us know. I will also be more than happy to check in on our voicemail system to make sure it's clear for any future callers who the voicemail will be received by.

Server maintenance functions are performed by the ISV's such as Rithmic and/or CQG. NinjaTrader itself does not do any regularly scheduled maintenance.
