Optimus Futures trading broker review

I wanted to say something about Optimus. I have had trouble saying very much "nice" recently, long story, but in this instance I have nothing but good things to share.

The Rithmic feed feels just like ZenFire did, I have tried it scalping and targeting, size and not, using all sorts of order fill methods, all zero lag.

I have called Matt a few times to go over some things, every time he stays with me until my questions are all answered.

The Vision Financial daily report is on schedule, same as Dorman's was. And Optimus has client portal that is a nice option.

The leverage is lower than at Mirus, but that is not a problem, and would serve a lot of traders well to stay at lower leverage.

Got my SIM (Demo) Rithmic key today, whilst awaiting the account application approval / funding.

Spoke with Matt early this am. to get started. I had one disconnect at 8:23, but realized I may need the latest version of NT, so downloaded v21, reconnected & stayed connected all day long. Nice getting back in the saddle after about 3 weeks.

Trade desk called later in the day to review the process & find out if I was satisfied with the commission rate quoted.

These folks stay on top of things!

Can't say enough nice about them.

Looking forward to *LIVE* trading once the account is funded.

Hope everyone else is having a similar experience.

After all, it's what you learn AFTER you know it all, that counts!

I'd like to add another positive review for Optimus.

I've just today completed the account opening process with Optimus. I'm not normally the kind of guy that writes reviews on anything but I felt compelled by my recent experience. Dealing with Matt and Jessica has been absolutely great. I sent Matt a few messages with questions through futures.io (formerly BMT), and no lie they were answered in minutes. Jessica has also been great. She's answered all my questions and helped me very promptly as well.

Does Optimus have the lowest commission or margin rates in the biz? No, probably not but that wasn't what I was looking for. I was looking for a broker that would actually care about my business and be there for me if I needed them. So far I can say Matt & Co. at Optimus have come through with flying colors. Bravo.

Matt,

I saw on the Zenfire no more thread that you stated that you are "deploying a continuum data feed for those who want Eurex". Will this be through Vision or will we need to move the account to a different FCM?

Vision, no need to move.
But, like I said, we are exploring it as it is available to us. No ETA, as I need to see execution, risk management and how to support customers through this. I am slow poke when it comes to this kind of deployment due to proper customer support.

I really subscribe to that !

I received my account application approval / account no. yesterday.

Now I'm waiting for the transfer of my funds from Mirus / Dorman to be completed...

Thanks again to Matt and his whole team at Optimus for making this happen so smoothly, you did a fantastic job !

Hey is Optimus getting access to Eurex via Rithmic. Some other brokers are reporting they now have via Rithmic?

We are actually implementing it via Continuum.
So now we are setting us a test environment, then hook up to our database so customers
could receive demos, etc. Lastly, we will set up risk management center at Optimus for Continuum.

@liquidcci I have been working with Rithmic now for a long time, and as such have become familiar
with their environment. We continually making efforts to bring Eurex via Rithmic as well.
Once we do it, we do it right, as we did with CME/CBOT/NYMEX/ICE

On a side note, on of the more popular contracts on the Eurex is FDAX. It traded about $187K today, so even the CL trades more. My heart tells me to keep focusing on the liquid markets we already have build a good support for.
