I discussed with Matt the rate I paid at my previous broker and he matched it, plus he provides Sierra Charts for free. I was just talking to him on the phone and he told me he is able to lower my rate even more since SC is giving him a rate reduction. He could have kept that but he didn't; he passed it on to me and all his other customers.

Quite honestly, we are in an era where commissions are fast becoming of lesser importance, taking a backseat to customer service, platform and data reliability, and your overall comfort level with the broker. I might have found a lower commission somewhere else, but I doubt I would have found better customer service. Matt and Jennifer have been most helpful in all my dealings with them. Other brokers might match them, but I doubt they exceed them. I am quite content so far. If you are looking for a broker, at least give them serious consideration.

Very true Papa15. Had very productive conversation with Matt today. In fact decided to call Matt after your first post this morning. My broker is no longer with the company went to work in his family business, so I decided to look for new option. Your input was very helpful. Moreover Matt was very helpful in addressing my needs. I think we are having very good start.

It is no need to get into a discussion on what rate I am paying. Matt and I came to a deal that satisfied me, and then he even beat that. In my original conversation with him he told me he could discount more when I went over certain volume levels of trading, but to be honest, I am a small volume trader and won't reach that level for a while. I am certain you could get a better rate than I based on your volume.

From what I read on another thread, Velocity will meet or beat other broker rates, so what is posted on their website is the starting point for a rate and not the final word. I have seen other broker sites that give the commission rate based on volume trading. You just have to accept that in trading, just like with air line tickets, not everyone pays the same rate, and quite honestly it is best not to openly discuss what rate you did pay. Just leave it at this. I am currently happy.

I just opened an account with Optimus. Matt and Jennifer were excellent in helping the switch go smoothly. My phone calls have been answered within 2 rings every time. So far I am very pleased.

I am set up with Sierra Charts and R-Trader, but since I also have a lifetime license with NT I can use that platform as well. The best feature of R-Trader is that it puts OCO orders at the market. The combo of Sierra Charts and R-Trader is very good.

Awesome guys, thanks for sharing. Matt is without a doubt the kind of guy that cares about your account, you are not just a "number". If you start talking about Россия-Матушка you may get a special discount price, lol

I opened an account with Optimus late last year to replace a ZenFire account. I worked with Matt to get my account open, and it was up and running right away. Matt spent a great deal of time talking with me, and it became very apparent that Matt cared about me being successful and not about providing $500 margin accounts. It's nice having a broker that knows you and cares about you and your account.

The feed used is Rithmic, which is what Zen is built on top of. I have spent a lot of time comparing Rithmic and Zen and I found no issues with the Rithmic feed. It has been rock solid.

I am using Sierra Chart for charting and trading, which has been a dream for me. The executions have been fast and accurate.

Hi, Matt, according to SC, the OCO bracket is managed on the client side (SC) if the order is placed through SC chartDOM. What if the order is placed through R-Trader, is the bracket managed by R-Trader (client) or Rithmic server? Thanks,
