I dumped Mirus Trading. I could swear they were stop hunting me. I am good at programming in C# on NT7. I
baught a Forex Robot and I'm going to use their server. I think it's 16 bucks. MBT is a 5 digit ECN with no
trading desk. I guess Felix is the owner and I've only heard good things about MBT. I was thinking of traslating my NT C# code into Meta Trader 4. Does anyone know what kind of code MT4 uses? I am through with the bucket shops. All the time I've been commodities trading, these shops have been playing me. I on to one of the most liquid markets in the world. This robot will trade with 1/10 of my money because of the drawdown and it doesn't use a stop. It set internally how much it will let me loose which I am told isn't much compared to using stops. With the server, I don't have to have a generator at home incase the power goes out. This is cloud computing 101. Also, I've been using this MOZY for backup. Anyone use MOZY? Well , I'm going to be strong and not give up. I know this year will be the year because it ends with a powerful number 11. Let me know what you think about forex. Thanks for your comments.

Good luck with the robot . Remember that an ECN will give you partial fills once in a while and your bot need to be adjusted for this occurence .

I think because this EA Robot only runs on MT4. I think MT4 is the standard for Forex Trading. I guess they load one MT4 platform per robot or EA (E_____ assistant) MT4 calls it and you can have several of them going at the same time. I've heard of a guy running 20. I'm just real pissed off all the time I've spent developing C# strategies and I was at the wrong broker. Now,isn't that something - Broker. Why do they call them Brokers - because they have made me broke all the time stupidtax or education money. They said that Forex is the largest trading market out there, but from my reading Interest Rate Swaps are the largest with 38 Trillion dollar market. I don't know if that's daily volume or what. I know Forex is 1 to 2 Trillion a day volume, very liquid. And I'm thinking, maybe I can add programming to this robot on MT4. I've never heard of anyone using Ninjatrader to trade Forex, have you? But I will try both, backtest both - might need Signal data. Any comments would be welcome.

If I have a partial fill, whatever I buy or sell; I believe the bot will get me flat so I can do another round trip.
It doesn't matter to me if it's full or partial. MT4 will make sure I'm flat, I suppose. I have no experience on
MT4. Mirus Trading still hasn't given me my money back. They zeroed out my account Jan 3rd and here it's the
13th. I talked to the broker today, he said wait till Monday. I'm outside of Motown, 350 miles away from Chitown. My mom has sent me a letter from Arizona faster than the broker can send me my money. That doesn't sound right. Are there better forex brokers than MBT? I'm making my new years resolution to be a successful
forex trader. We'll see.

I don't think they supply data for 6.5 and only supply a couple days for NJ7 as in this thread:

Currently using NT 6.5 with MBT. MBT market data tends to lag a bit. Would not recommend using MBT data feed for trading. Overall, given the broker choices that NT offers, I'm happy with MBT after nearly 2 years with them.

No direct experience but also evaluating data providers/brokers.

I came across this discussion while researching:

Quoting
I use MB. Their data, in my experience, is only fair. When the market moves fast their quote data lags while their execution server seems to be current as you will find yourself with an order executed at a price that, according to their data, shouldn't be getting hit. I find that this especially happens with their NYMEX energy quotes. In addition, I used to feed their data into QuoteTracker. One of the studies I especially depended on was very sensitive to executed order size on the bid versus ask and I found that their executed order size data used to get bunched. I found many fewer actual trades executed per day according to them than what actually had traded according to other sources.

To get around this, I have worked with MB to participate in an effort sponsored by the CME to provide free quote data to small traders through DTN-IQ. The program is called the "IQ Feed CME Globex fee waiver" and you can get more information about it on the DTN web site. MB attests to DTN that I have an active futures account with them and I get CME Globex data for free in my DTN account. I pay a monthly DTN account fee of $40 and I get CME Globex data like the ES plus CME/CBOT/NYMEX bonds, notes, currencies, crude, nat gas, etc. for free. I feed this data into QuoteTracker through my DTN account and it works wonderfully. MB is the party making it possible for me and since I started this about a month ago it has been wonderful.

I have not seen MB openly promote this so if you are interested you may have to talk with a few MB people. It doesn't cost MB anything - they only have to certify to DTN that you have an active trading account with them and you give MB your DTN account number for MB to put on the certification.

I don't know from first hand knowledge how current this discussion was or the related facts.

I hope this is helpful.

This is interesting info for an MBT client that is always surprised to get better fills than what printed on the chart! I'll ask Ross about this and find out what the deal is currently.

Yeah, I've gotta say they're a no go for me. I have stated my experience in some other threads, look at my posts to see what I have to say about this combo.

I've used MB for FX to feed data to NT 6.5 and 7. I just used it to create charts and backfill. I DID NOT use it to place orders through ninja though. I find the API for MB FX through ninja to be cumbersome and hard to use.
