Data integrity issues with Kinetick ... move to Esignal??
Hi All,
I recently moved to Ninjatrader from Tradestation and subscribed to a real time equity feed with Kinetick. I noticed today that an equity CBIO (it was very active today) had a spurious values and a massive tail 5 minutes after the open that I could not see on Tradestation and I did also verify the chart with a friend.
I realize that Kinetick just bundle the data they get from DTN iqfeed but obviously my first point of call is with Kinetick as I have my account with them. Of course I have contacted Kinetick support about this issue.
The question is has anyone experienced data integrity problems with Kinetick/DTN. Just wondering if this is the start of something BAD and I should ditch Kinetick/DTN as a reliable feed to trade with and move to ESignal.
Thanks,
iq
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
So I contacted Kinetick last night and was in an email exchange with one of the CS reps, Christopher, who simply kept denying that there was a problem with the data feed but wouldn't respond to my question about speaking to a data integrity person - I guess they either don't have such a person or don't care. He kept quoting DTN and Continuum as having the same spike and implied that the problem was probably with Tradestation. Now if I'm not mistaken Kinetick is a rebadged DTN feed so not sure how he could quote that!
I have a chart from Tradestation and another chart from DAS trader which doesn't have the spike and will be starting up an Esignal account tomorrow to double check. Currently I am more inclined to believe Tradestation data quality over Kinetick/DTN. Will find out for sure tomorrow.
All I want is a bloody reliable data feed and I'm willing to pay for it! Is it too much to ask??
Yes I am still with Kinetick. I have an equities data feed which is basically a re-badged feed from IQFeed who I understand are a quality data supplier. I can't comment about futures data however as I don't use futures.
