i've signed up for interactive brokers market data for ASX (Australian stock exchange), i can load charts on weekdays but doesn't seem to work on weekends, any ideas?

Many charts packages do not have data over the weekends because of data providers.
Try SierraCharts with CQG.

I have been using IB for years and it is just one of those features you get used to... They are a Broker not a general purpose data feed. It generally comes back on Sunday afternoon/evening Australian time.

If you need it, try eSignal etc, but $100-200/month makes the comparison hard to justify.
