So now I have data and a platform

But AMP has no historical data.

Any ideas where I might be able to get this?

I can't see that you have made it clear exactly what instrument you want historical data for.

Haha sorry. I was trying to type it out while in a meeting.

It seems Ninjatrader connected to CQG is not giving historical data. I am getting historical (limited) with Sierra Chart. If I were you, I would switch over to Sierra if you want to trade the Nikkei 225 Mini through AMP, as you will get some historical data... it is a much faster platform, anyway, plus you get at least some historical data.

Sorry, I meant Sierra connected to CQG through AMP. NT commented to CQG through AMP is not giving any historical data for OSE Nikkei.

Contracts I would recommend trading during these hours are :

Nikkei : MJNK from Osaka Exch. , NKD or NIY from CME

China A50 : Futures available from SGX (singapore exch.) on IB these are listed as Xina50 and they are small and liquid enough

Aussie dollar either 6A or the micro version

Japan Yen either 6J or the micro (micro on this not vy liquid)

DX (USD basket futures from ICE exch.) these move all the time against most currencies
