Personalised news feeds. Would they help to deal with information overload?
I am doing a school project about personalisation of news and wondered, if you could help me. The project is for the web interaction course and is focused on traders' experience and their opinion of personalised newsfeed. I have traded the news for a little bit myself, therefore I thought about such study topic
Personally, I found trading the news quite stressful and not very successful. The mass of available information was rather overwhelming, which is why I thought about possibility to personalise the news. Maybe someone can relate with such situation or share their opinion about news personalisation?

That is how to trade the news stress free, but they got caught.. or at least that hack was caught anyway.
Its hard to see how an (automated?) personalised news feed could work as source selection is a bit ...tricky...
What is important for news varies between types of markets. Futures, just get out 5 mins before and back in after as a novice trader (otherwise your gambling, not trading). Perhaps you could expand on how you might see it working as opposed to just finding the news feeds you think are more reliable from experience over time (or copying a mentor's twitter feeds etc)?

Normally news release are distributed to the press before the actual announced.
This is under 'embargo', means the journalist can only use the news to prepare
his article, not to communicate or trade on the news...
