Welcome to futures.io.

Welcome, Guest!

This forum was established to help traders (especially futures traders) by openly sharing indicators, strategies, methods, trading journals and discussing the psychology of trading.

We are fundamentally different than most other trading forums:
  • We work extremely hard to keep things positive on our forums.
  • We do not tolerate rude behavior, trolling, or vendor advertising in posts.
  • We firmly believe in openness and encourage sharing. The holy grail is within you, it is not something tangible you can download.
  • We expect our members to participate and become a part of the community. Help yourself by helping others.

You'll need to register in order to view the content of the threads and start contributing to our community. It's free and simple, and we will never resell your private information.

Asian Markets / Futures products

Hi NinjaTrader Brokerage,

Understand that you folks are working on providing customers with access to futures products traded on Asian exchanges (e.g. HKEX, SGX, SFE, OSE, TSE, etc.), please would you have any updates on the progress?

Any timelines to share?

Thank you.

We are still working through this and do not have a specific timeline yet. We will communicate once there is more information to provide.

Risk Disclosure: Futures and forex trading involves significant risk of loss and is not appropriate for everyone.

That would be something. Now there is a lot of brokers ... but they ALL offer exactly the same products. They think that in this world only CME and maybe Eurex/ICE exist.Really frustrating.

@ Ninjatrader Brokerage

+1 for coming to AP Region for HKEX. I am forced to pay Esignal hundreds of dollars for tick data (there doesnt appear to be anyone else who offers it other than CQG which you need a grandfathered licence for...).

So I can get the welcome mat ready sometime soon then?!?

temporary margin changes

Ninjatrader brokerage is increasing intraday margins by 3x on all products.

Excerpt of client email: "Due to the risk presented by significant market swings, intraday margins for all products will be increased 3X following the US trading session* on Tuesday, June 21st. Margins will return to normal levels once the potential for drastic market moves has subsided following the Brexit vote."

In the same email to clients they quote the CME making this statement: "Please be advised that the CME Global Command Center (GCC) will be continuously and actively monitoring for market impacts related to the upcoming Brexit vote in the UK, and will take any action it deems necessary, in its sole discretion, to preserve market integrity in accordance with Rule 579. These actions may include modifying parameters in several functionalities, including price bands, Velocity Logic, Messaging Efficiency Program, and special price fluctuation limits ahead of the pending vote."

Interactive Brokers did something similar, I assume every broker is doing the same thing.

They all are. I told ya'. Stay the heck out until the smoke clears. Don't get in there unless you are ready to get bloody. Wait a week from today minimum.
