Welcome to futures.io.

Welcome, Guest!

This forum was established to help traders (especially futures traders) by openly sharing indicators, strategies, methods, trading journals and discussing the psychology of trading.

We are fundamentally different than most other trading forums:
  • We work extremely hard to keep things positive on our forums.
  • We do not tolerate rude behavior, trolling, or vendor advertising in posts.
  • We firmly believe in openness and encourage sharing. The holy grail is within you, it is not something tangible you can download.
  • We expect our members to participate and become a part of the community. Help yourself by helping others.

You'll need to register in order to view the content of the threads and start contributing to our community. It's free and simple, and we will never resell your private information.

tradefutures 4 less, via Dorman Trading

@NinjaTrader Support can clear this up for you, but I believe you will need login credentials supplied by NT and to get Live data (even to use under SIM) you may need to have a funded account with NT - or at least after a short trial period.

Thanks Steve. I am hoping that the official NT people who are monitoring this thread can offer a simple yes/no in the next few days.

to clarify podski, I'm not looking to trade live via NT, just to get the market data.

So I could use the SIM but with live data. Just thought to ensure we're using the same vocabulary

ask your broker to ask ninja to activate the data connection, it's free but ninja still has to authorize your connection.

I apologise in advance if this has been implicitly addressed already - I could not find it as a simple answer throughout this thread.

I have an active CQG login (data connection) which I use with CQG's proprietary trading platform QTrader.

I followed the instructions at CQG Connection Guide | NinjaTrader to download the free version of NT7 but I seem unable to connect.

My question is, does the NT7 (or NT8 for that matter) free license allow connection via my CQG login?

Your best bet is to just sign up for a demo here - Free Market Data & Live Trading Demo | NinjaTrader

The data trial provided is through Continuum/CQG.

ACH is now available for NinjaTrader Brokerage customers at Phillip Capital. If you are interested in ACH, i encourage you to contact our Brokerage Support team (brokeragesupport@ninjatrader.com) to understand if it is the best funding option for you.

Help Me NTB,
I have just been approved for my NTB account using PhillipUSA as my FCM and I want to fund the account using ACH, but I recvd an email from Cynthia in NT Cust Serv saying ACH is only allowed for add funds to an existing account.

You can image this is frustrating, but I am encouraged to be persistant by reading that others are having a happy time with NTB.

Please confirm that ACH can be used to fund the account, and transfer funds in and out.

Thank you, you're my only hope...

ACH

Hi @NinjaTrader, exactly what is the scoop on ACH with your brokerage? Know it was mentioned in past yall were working on it. What's the latest?
To that I ask why the hesitancy not just on yalls part but overall with brokerages is you care to shed some light on the subject. The one thing that comes to mind is it must cost yall/the brokerage extra $$ to offer otherwise Why not for the convenience of those wishing to put funds into account??
Not an attempt to stir things up just really curious as to why it seems to be such a non-implemented function?
Thanks in advance
