Welcome to futures.io.

Welcome, Guest!

This forum was established to help traders (especially futures traders) by openly sharing indicators, strategies, methods, trading journals and discussing the psychology of trading.

We are fundamentally different than most other trading forums:
  • We work extremely hard to keep things positive on our forums.
  • We do not tolerate rude behavior, trolling, or vendor advertising in posts.
  • We firmly believe in openness and encourage sharing. The holy grail is within you, it is not something tangible you can download.
  • We expect our members to participate and become a part of the community. Help yourself by helping others.

You'll need to register in order to view the content of the threads and start contributing to our community. It's free and simple, and we will never resell your private information.

T4 vs Rithmic

has anyone of you a great experience to work with data feeds T4 and Rithmic for your practice?
I am interested in filling rate, stability of the connection and multiple nuances at work
in other words, what are the pros and cons you can bring in relation to these two data providers

* If investing gets too difficult for a seventh grader to understand, the system is needlessly complex
* Markets produce an enormous volume of information, much of which is redundant
* In every game and con there's always an opponent, and there's always a victim. The trick is to know when you're the latter, so you can become the former

The Rithmic feed is a pretty poor feed without historical bid and ask volume. Tim Fry from TST posted about Rithmic problems in the Sierra Chart support board here:

I asked that TST switch me back to CTS (what T4 uses) and they did. Despite the recent issues with the CTS feed in Sierra Chart (now fixed), the Sierra Chart engineers recommend that users continue with CTS instead of using Rithmic. That recommendation discussed in this 2nd thread (scroll to post #6):
