Hi, recently moved from forex to futures and still trying to get my head around everything. I am currently working part time so I have a lot of free time but not a lot of free money, saying that I would like to be able to access futures and delta charts whilst still being able to eat!

I can access futures through NinjaTrader with a data feed and delta charts through Investor RT which I think will be the cheapest option? I assume I can use the same data feed for Ninja/Investor RT?

When I tallied up everything earlier on IQ feeds calculator I think it came to $250! Which is a bit more than I thought it would be, any way to get this down a bit?
Data feed:
$50 Sign up fee
$70 IQfeed core service
$20 IQfeed RT US futures (Do I need this)
$20 IQfeed Level II (Do I need this for Investor RT for example?)
$91 CME (Do I need to add something like this on for the futures exchange fees?)
$70 Investor RT

All I am looking for just now is screen time with futures and delta charts of 1 maybe 2 instruments but at a lower price... Any ideas?

Regards,
Rob

Hi,

Look up the CME waiver program on your brokers website and discuss with them, they may be able to help on specific advise. Also if you join futures.io (formerly BMT) as a member there are some discounts you could use. If you're planning on being an active member I'd recommend joining.

Sand.

Rob,
I believe there are some free and paid delta charts for NinjaTrader. Thus, you could get Kinetick to drive NinjaTrader.

NinjaTrader - Free
Kinetick - No sign up fee
Kinetick base - $55 per month
Kinetick Market Depth - $20 per month (You really don't need this for what you are doing)
Kinetick CME E-Mini - $46 per month (You likely don't need the full CME package, it depends what markets you want to follow)
Delta chart add on - $?

So you can see that your monthly cost (excluding any potential cost for delta chart) would be around $101 per month. Alternatively, you can contact any of NinjaTrader's brokerage partners to see what the current monthly rate might be if you fund a trading account. For sure you would eliminate the $55 Kinetick fee.

NinjaTrader stock, futures and forex charting software and online trading platform.

Talk to Amp Futures or Mirus and they will set you up with Ninja Trader and a choice of data feeds at no charge except for your trading fees once you start trading.

Hi,

you can do the folllowing:

1. Open a demo account with a broker to get a data feed for NinjaTrader. After your demo has expired you can open an account with a broker that has no inactivity fee.

2. Become Elite Member here at futures.io (formerly BMT). Beside of wealth of information, you can download the Gomi Indicator Package [this will give you the Footprint Charts aka Delta Charts, Volume Profiles etc... for NinjaTrader].

3. Spend time, read, learn and share here at futures.io (formerly BMT).

This will give you screen time for just USD 100 plus all the information here on futures.io (formerly BMT).

Best,

Tellur

Hi Rob,

Sorry I just stumbled onto your thread. If you ever have questions feel free to post in IQFeed AMA or PM me if you prefer, either way I'll respond pretty quickly.

Some great feedback so far...data pricing depends on whether you can do what you need with NT alone or need data for another software as well, whether or not you want Support for the data, in addition to the broker you choose.

If NT is all you need I recommend going with Kinetick ($55/mo) as Ray suggests. High quality data with great support, and depending on which broker you fund an account with, the exchange fee for CME mini could be reduced from $46/mo to $1/mo for all CME Globex Lvl 1 data (not just minis) or $3/mo for a bundle including CBOT, COMEX and NYMEX as well.

If you need data for IRT as well, I'd recommend IQFeed with real-time US futures ($90/mo). It can be used in NT and IRT simultaneously, the Startup Fee is waived, the same applies regarding reducing the exchange fee to $1/mo and excellent Support is provided. For futures.io (formerly BMT) Elite members we offer $50 discount on the 1st month of service.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Robert

I am planning to open an account with Interactive Brokers using IRT with IQfeed.

How do I get the exchange fees waived, as well as the initiation fee? Also, is exchange fee waived only for CME? Or it can be done for NYSE/NASDAQ?

This is what your pricing calculator shows me:
One-time Initiation Fee: $50.00

Monthly IQFeed Core Service Fee: $90.00
Monthly Exchange Fees: $46.00
Monthly Premium Fees: $0.00
MONTHLY RECURRING FEES: $136.00

TOTAL FIRST MONTH FEES OWED: $186.00

Thanks!

Hi Pavel,

The Initiation fee is waived and you'll receive a $50 discount on your 1st month of service for being an Elite member.

Email me at [email protected] and I'll provide details regarding the discounted non-pro Globex exchange fees, which includes CBOT, CME, COMEX and NYMEX.

Regards,

Robert
