Hi guys,

Please use this thread to discuss FuturePath Trading brokerage services. Linda Bradford Raschke is a principal and her husband Damon Pavlatos is principal and CEO of the firm.

FuturePath Trading | Online Futures Trading

They have multiple FCM clearing relationships as an IIB, and also offer a variety of execution feeds and platforms, in addition to their own in-house platform called PhotonTrader.

They have a clean NFA record:

FuturePath is in the process of becoming a site sponsor on futures.io (formerly BMT). A webinar will be scheduled at a future date to discuss their products and services.

Hi Gang!
Just to let you know, my husband's firm, FuturePath Trading can do Ninja -Rithmic at multiple FCMs - they are an IIB who clears KCG (Knight), Vision, FCStone, NewEdge, Dorman, and a few others - so....plenty of options. Super rates. They can also offer Photon Trader, Multi Charts, Trade Navigator, CQG, TT....... if you want to consult about assorted options and connectivity solutions to keep your Ninja, Damon is happy to help.
I became a client of FuturePath back in 1999 for my CTA, and have been doing all my execution there ever since. Damon used to do my execution in the SP pit back in 1991...and 4 years ago I went from being a happy client of his to a happy wife :-)
Please feel free to email him at [email protected], even for the most simple of questions. or, visit FuturePath Trading's website.
I have been through so many disruptions over my career, from the time the Chicago river flooded the basements of the clearing firms (they all shut down for three days), to 911 when my trade desk was through Refco's office one block from the WTC, to Refco's demise, then MFGlobal's demise....yup, am still waiting for funds back from them. Part of the business, but an unfortunate stressor. In the meantime, I wish everyone the best for a positive upbeat 2014 going forward!

Linda, is there anywhere where I can get hold of information such as contract details, commissions and fees and such for FuturePath? There's very little information on the website (https://futurepathtrading.com/index.html).

@LindaR

On your Website FuturePath Trading | Online Futures Trading there is no info about Dorman. Will you update your site or is it even for existing traders clearing via Dorman?

Hello Big Mike and Everyone,

I have seen how some here have had order entry failures lately. I wanted to let you and everyone know that I am in a position to help. If any are interested in setting up a back-up account or in transferring their account to me I am a Branch Manager with FuturePath Trading, LLC, a Chicago-based brokerage. We are an Independent Introducing Broker with agreements with numerous FCM’s. For Ninjatrader users like me, we have fast, fully operational data and order entry connectivity, including ICE data at no charge, available right now. USA-based as well as International clients are welcome just the same.

My approach is to make a difference for the better. So, I do my best to help my clients any way I can.

To get moved over fast or get to know more I can be reached on the phone at (517) 358-6988.

Hi Linda, Nice to see ya here. Damon offered me an account when I was speaking with him after that great presentation from you both, in Feb. 2013 at NY Traders Expo. It would have been better to have a second account, like everyone tells me, but when I mentioned I was with Mirus he said he knew them and they were good guys.

On a lighter note, too bad he didn't say, "...oh, THOSE guys?" (lol) Then maybe I'd have gotten a second account, like everyone advises is such a good idea...

Hope to see you guys again in NY in Feb. I would tell everyone here to attend, but that room was packed, sro!

Damon taught us about 'spoos,' and 'cars,' as well as history of the pits, really cool insights, and you bring some great energy in your presentations.

Thanks for adding this thread.

In the spirit of helping those unfamiliar with FuturePath Trading, I thought it would be helpful to post my positive experiences with the firm.

I transitioned all of my futures business to FPT in late 2010, and have had nothing but positive experiences with them. As I don't make such a transition lightly (I had been with my prior broker for close to a decade and execution ease and speed are of paramount importance to me), Damon and Linda were both kind enough to spend an evening with me prior to the transition to walk my through the Photon platform, as well as share their enhancement plans for the future.

Since that time, they've exceeded my expectations in terms of technology, infrastructure, and overall customer service. The latter was highly evident and of particular importance during the MF Global crisis in late 2011 and throughout 2012, as I was one of MF Global's larger individual clients and recall Damon personally injecting himself into the process and keeping me abreast of the situation - sometimes daily - via many emails and personal phone calls.

With respect to technology, I've been highly impressed with the Photon platform, which includes the capability to trade from the charts and a highly configurable price ladder which they continue to enhance based on customer input. (They even recently created a ladder option to hide the market depth at my request to improve focus and lessen the noise.) Connectivity has been solid and consistent during both the overnight and day sessions, even during volatile markets.

I think one of the reasons for their success is that they understand the true business of trading, including all of its psychological, infrastructure, and regulatory challenges, which presumably stems largely from the principals' past and current work in the industry. They also have readily accessible contacts for technical support, customer service, and risk management, and seem to treat their customers as extended family.

I'm not one to easily throw praise around and can sometimes even be a bit critical in this business, especially given what the futures industry has been through during the past few years. Yet I would have no hesitation in recommending their firm, and assume their connectivity work with Ninja will share similar high standards of quality.

Hi Traders!
Thank-you for your interest and calls. The answer to some of your questions:

Dorman is one of FuturePath's FCM partners - they are not on the website yet because it is a recent relationship since December.
Other FCMs include: KCG (Knight), Vision, F.C Stone, RJObrien, New Edge, Open Ecry.

FuturePath does not list commission rates because it depends on volume and services (such as broker assist, hosting, and special programming needs). To give you an idea, 5 years ago we had one high volume client whose commissions were 3 cents. (if you do 8 million rt a month, you can be there, too!)

If you are a higher volume trader, Damon will help you with leasing a seat to get the low exchange fees. I would suggest calling Damon and discussing your individual situation - FuturePath can offer lower rates to individuals than the majority of firms since it has done the volumes.

To answer an earlier question as well, the Rithmic servers that FuturePath uses are hosted in Aurora where the CME matching engines are.

Also, since FuturePath has had their own TT infrastructure in the past, as well as their own technology and software, for those using a Ninja - Rithmic solution, the Risk and control is handled by FuturePath, not the FCM - (unlike the majority of IBs). If there were ever to be any issues, we have the ability to trace log files internally, instead of someone having to contact the FCM to find out what the problem is.

It is important that your broker can cancel or place an order for your account immediately in case you have internet disruptions or computer issues on your end. If there were to ever be any issues or questions, we have the ability to trace log files internally

Any more questions, please feel free to call FuturePath or Damon! 312-907-1112, and have a great WEEKEND!
Linda
