I just spoke to Sean about this and he said they could have Zen Fire/Big Tick back in two weeks.

I have accounts at 3 other firms and so far Mirus has been the best on many levels. I have traded on IB and this week and I found issues in just 3 trading sessions. I really hope Mirus gets back or I will be looking for something else.

Based on the limited information we have available at this moment, and pending further official information / clarification, this is what I think is happening with Mirus.

Disclaimer: I don't know anything more than the average reader on this thread, so please don't take any of what is below as fact, its just one person's opinion based on very limited public information.

1. Temporary Fix: The Continuum + Kinetic 'solution' is a temporary fix to get Mirus back online with something. It sounds like the best they could patch together as quickly as possible. It sounds like Mirus tried (as recently as yesterday) to get back to a Rithmic solution short term, but was not successful in doing so. I see nothing indicating Continuum is the final and permanent end point for Mirus, it's a temporary stop gap measure.

2. Timeline: The two month aspect of the Mirus rebate program, implies to me their new projected milestone for the BigTick/Zen-Fire system upgrade has been slipped out into Feb 2014. They will probably get to some beta-release testing stage late in January.

3. Account Status: No where in anything I have read does Mirus indicate transitioning from Zen-Fire to Continuum is mandatory for an account owner. If you want to trade your Mirus account in the next two+ months , then yes you would need to make that transition. If this is true, then a client can choose to do nothing and wait for the final permanent solution to be rolled out in the relatively near future (Feb/March).

If this is where we are today, then I suggest a representative of Mirus schedule a (futures.io (formerly BMT)) webinar to explain the current status and plans in detail to Mirus Clients. Where we are today and where we are working to get to.

Based on my short conversation this morning, Mirus seems to have every intention of continuing on with ZF, and sees this Continuum fix as temporary. It seems that talks with Rithmic did not go as planned. I'm not sure why everything cannot be simply reset back to the way it was in December, but it apparently can not.

Getting confused now. I use Sierrachart with Iqfeed for Charts, I only need Ninjatrader for order execution. Are you saying I need Kinetick in addition to Continuum to actually get numbers in the DOM and be able to execute orders through Ninjatrader?

That is correct as Kinetick is part of the Continuum solution.

Optimus clears through Vision which will not open accounts from Ontario, Canada

We will open all but BC and ON.

SC supports CQG
so you are able to use Continuum + SC RealTime DataFeed (35% levlel I and level II)

I only need best bid/ask, no market depth, is that included in the basic version?

That I do not know. I purchased Kinetick with both at the same time - basic and level II. I guess that you at any time can add the level II once you have tested the basic package.

Yes, I already had the SC futures feed before, good quality, no difference to iqfeed.

But as far as I know CQG/Continuum wonīt be available with SC until mid january...

Checked their website, 20 bucks extra for market depth, so I guess best bid ask is included in the basic package.

The Continuum solution is only for credit card holders.
If you donīt have any Credit Card or donīt wanna use it so this is no solution for you.
Kinetick wants your Card Number.

T4 provides the high quality RT feed + backfill / server-side OCO / webtrader/ EUREX & ICE

SC uses CTS T4 FIX and it works good on Linux

so why not T4?
