My broker is TDAmeritrade. I am fairly satisfied with them, and their trading platform, ToS.
I trade the ES futures. I am told 7.00 for a round trip is expensive. Nevertheless, one feature
that's missing from TDA is market replay. There is a week delay before I can replay the most current trading day.
I have read that I can replay the current day immediately on NinjaTrader. If tried to connect my broker to
Ninjatrader, but got an error message about 32/64 bit incompatibility. I really have no idea what that means.
Is there another broker where I won't have this issue? Since I am changing platforms, I may as well look for
a less expensive broker, as well. Can you recommend a good compatible inexpensive broker to use with Ninjatrader? Thanks.

Well, there are a few good brokers out there.
Since I'm with Mirus for a couple of years now and satisfied with their service and expertise so far, I can recommend them from my personal experience without any restriction.

But of course you may want to build your own opinion by looking into other brokers like i.e. Optimus Futures, etc.

I use DeepDiscountTrading with NinjaTrader, the ES is $3.72 round trip and $60 a month to lease NinjaTrader. I prefer NT for my trading style and also because of the market replay feature, and the support staff at NT has been very helpful as well.

Think big, think positive, never show any sign of weakness. Always go for the throat. Buy low, sell high. Fear? That's the other guy's problem. In this building, it's either kill or be killed. You make no friends in the pits and you take no prisoners. One minute you're up half a million in soybeans and the next, boom, your kids don't go to college and they've repossessed your Bentley. Are you with me?

Mirus charge a $25.00/month Inactivity Fee if you do not trade, even if you are on Simulation every day perfecting (is there such a thing) your Trading Plan, they also distribute your details to their "associates" so that you will receive many spam emails and they will tell you in a Newsletter/Update that there is nothing you can do about it. (except tell them where to put their brokerage).

I use AMP Futures as a broker who charges about $5 round trip commission. They are responsive to your calls and charge very small margins for the usual instruments.
Good luck.

I am very satisfied with Interactive Brokers and can definitely recommend them.
Just $2.01 per side on the ES and their platform integrates quite well with NT7.

Attention, they require/expect you to generate at least 10$ of commissions each month, otherwise they charge you the difference to reach that 10$ minimum expenses limit.

But practically, an active trader will never have to worry about that; 3 trades per month (in and out) on the ES are more than enough to avoid it.

Successful people will do what unsuccessful people won't or can't do!

If you are running NT 7 on a 64 bit machine you should have two versions installed, one 32 bit and one 64 bit version. Did you try to start and connect the 32 bit version ?

There are several threads on nexusfi.com (formerly BMT) about Optimus Futures.
I recommend them highly. I've been with many brokers including most of them mentioned in this thread.
Mattz is one of the best: https://nexusfi.com/trading_member/7726-mattz.html

FWIW
I'm just a client and in no way connected to Optimus or Mattz

Hi - I'm using ThinkOrSwim too. I was able to have a better price by contacting them - right now I'm at $1.75 + exchange fee. My average monthly volume is around 200 contracts/month. It's still high but better than $7 -) They told me it can go lower as follows:
$1.50 + exchange fee if you trade 500 contracts per month
$1.00 + exchange fee if you trade 1000 contracts per month

Nothing to lose to ask

I have been looking at other broker/platform/data feed for a while and I think I'm heading towards Interactive Broker (broker + imperfect(aggregated) data) and multicharts (platform) to start and adding later IQFEED (data)

32Bit Vs 64Bit refers to the installation of NinjaTrader. It refers to the capability of your computer. 64 bit code is faster.
