Sorry to hear that things did not work well for you at MB Trading, but what type of charts are you loading? Tick? If it is tick, well forget about it, for some reason there are some issues, yes it is really crap... MB Trading is only good for minutes charts... I did not have the same problem with backfill with PFG Best when I was using tick chart but I had all those problems that you already know.

Now you want to know the true? The true is that data from brokers are always bullcrap, let's say bullshit, mainly the historical backfill and no matter what instrument you are trading; You should not use it to feed your charts, it is not reliable it is not accurate and it is going to mess up your studies and analysis. So, you will need a data provider... Brokers are there to make you broke.

I appreciate your views and willingness to share. Thank you.

I haven't seen any problem with PFGs historic data (tick). I don't trust historic data per se until I've compared it against data captured from the live market and that is what I've done with PFG. I get the same results with PFGs live data versus historic data. Now this comparison isn't exhaustive by any means but sampled over a number of days and there is always the possibility that I did this comparison on days where the data just happened to be good. But bottom line at this point is that I'm very satisfied with what I'm seeing from PFG.

If you are satisfied with them, then stick with them. Maybe they have improved their servers, quotes etc...

In case of any problem just walk away...
