Let's try to keep that discussion in here:

But it's also like asking "what dog is better, a German Shepard or a Poodle?" It's gong to depend on every persons interests and needs, there is no single answer.

Trading futures and options involves substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for all investors. Past performance is not necessarily indicative of future results. You may lose more than your initial investment. All posts are opinions and do not claim to be facts. Please conduct your own due diligence. Use only Risk capital when trading Futures.

my head hurts, that was a very long and very technical thread the reason i didnt follow it in the first place. Anyway I asked about TT because my student is using it and she insists on trading it wireless sigh! I can't argue with success cant I? I worry about her using a slow data feed but you said TT prod is fast so it might work out. One thing I get out of the thread is I should move to NT7 new server connection pronto, thanks.

Everyone has their preferences, and different feeds are useful depending on your personal style of trading. And there are a lot more feeds than those two. I mentioned those two because AMP has those two.

TT is more reliable. NEVER has froze in fast markets nor gone down in the 5 years I've been using it. Can't say the same about ZenFire.

ZenFire has a sexier name, no doubt.

TT is better thru X-Trader, but not thru the Fix Adapter. My vote go to Rithmic for NT, but now also Zen-Fire works much better with the new server.

Take your Pips, go out and Live.
Luke.

If I look at the amount of data that TT is pushing thru, I don't really see a problem using a high speed wireless connection.

It's an issue of latency and reliability not bandwidth.

While my mac pro is ethernet connected, I have other computers on the 5GHz band on 802.11n on a Airport extreme.

I see no difference with the mac pro ethernet connection.
