Thank you, that's great info.

I haven't committed to purchase yet, but I'm fairly sure I'm going to go with this combination.

Front end: open quant
Broker: MF Global futures and options
Api: TT fix for trading / order routing

That leaves data feed. IQ feed is quite expensive. About 250$ a month I was quoted for futures. Bit much imo as I'm expecting (based on back tests / initial account size) around $500-1000 pcm profit. What I don't want is to reduce my expectancy by half in fees!

Perhaps barchart? I can write an OQ plugin and get cheap historical data. I only need it for backtesting and bootstrapping strategies.

Get what you mean about Anton. He's very helpful if you chat to him directly. I think its literally two blokes in a shed hence the thin support. So far I've not had problems implementing some good stuff via their platform though.

Hey just out of curiosity, is there a manual override in open quant to buy or sell / close all positions, and does the chart update in real time when live?

I'm aiming to go full auto but hey might want to veto a trading decision.

Cheers

If you have a funded account and choose a broker and software that is on their list: Welcome to IQFeed! - Fast, Reliable, Affordable. Datafeeds and API., you can get CME data fees waived by IQfeed, which can bring down your data costs considerably.
