I found pausing the video every now and then makes it easier to see what is really happening, especially in the first videos in the thread.

Mike

Great point, thank you.

Good enough to see there is no 25 second delay I hope

I don't think anyone claimed that, the point was that extreme lags can occur during busy periods.

I completely understand. I was just quoting from the first sentence of your post.

There have been times I had problems with zenfire disconnects but have never seen it lag even in the most volatile fast markets. I switched to rithmic feed and it solved my disconnect problems and it has no lag it all. I think anyone contemplating zenfire just go with rithmic as it is the pure feed zenfire is based on. I believe zenfire runs rithmic feed through their own servers which may cause some issues.

"The day I became a winning trader was the day it became boring. Daily losses no longer bother me and daily wins no longer excited me. Took years of pain and busting a few accounts before finally got my mind right. I survived the darkness within and now just chillax and let my black box do the work."

To the best of my knowledge, Mirus Futures owns the Zen Fire brand and as we all know the backend of that is Rithmic. But, Mirus runs their own servers (similar to a TT gateway setup for FCM's), and on those servers Mirus has made some changes.

Other firms, like Amp, get Zen from Mirus and they too have their own "gateway servers". So it is quite possible a problem with AMP Zen does not happen on Mirus Zen. Or it is quite possible a problem with Mirus Zen does not happen with Rithmic.

All of the above is just based on my opinion, there is very little hard info out there about these relationships.

Dear Mike,

I am happy to say that during this weeks volatile trading, we received no reports of customers lagging using CQG or Zenfire.

I can see the trend is to blame AMP - or it is AMP not Mirus - coming from you. Why?

The video in post #1 seems to be made this week, based on the date.

I always recommend members do their own research and find a broker that is the best match for them. They can use nexusfi.com (formerly BMT) to research problems with brokers or good reviews with brokers based on others experience. I encourage them to contact brokers and "test the waters" with customer service, compare features, costs, etc. And ultimately, when they do business with a broker, I encourage them to then provide feedback, good or bad, to others on the forum of their experiences.

If there is a trend of blaming Amp, it isn't coming from me personally. Although you are right, I do see a lot more members having trouble with Amp than other brokers. There are of course many members on nexusfi.com (formerly BMT) who like Amp and give you guys a positive review.

Here is a list of "nexusfi.com (formerly BMT) Best of Trading" for 2010 which ranked brokers and data feeds, among other things:
Best Of Trading 2010 - Big Mike Trading

You can see Zen Fire did quite well.

I'm glad to see you active on the forum, and I encourage you to use it to support your user base if/when they experience problems.

@Mike,

Your words "Other firms, like Amp, get Zen from Mirus and they too have their own "gateway servers". So it is quite possible a problem with AMP Zen does not happen on Mirus Zen."

Yes, I have become active because the threads I was reading is not reflective, nor supported by AMP customers.

AMP is the largest and cheapest NinjaTrader brokerage. We offer 24 hour in-house technical support and trade desk.

We offer the best data connections, with over 30+ NinjaTrader specialist on call to support our customers.

We offer the most exchange connectivity for NinjaTrader and offer the lowest account minimum - $500.

With all of these tools we have to offer our customers, the blaming game - of it is AMP - especially coming from YOU, is just not nice!

And regarding the statment that AMP customers on futures.io (formerly BMT) are complaining more - is suspect - after posting my direct contact - I have not received 1 email or call.

So I once again offer my direct line: 312 893 7700
