How to trade Treasury bond future?

I am now quite confusing about trading treasury bond future.

It always happens like this when I cut loss the price went back IMMEDIATELY even can take profit, but if I dun cut loss I will keep losing more.

Sometimes when I got 1 Tick profit, if I dun take, it will become loss later, but if I take the profit, the price go like breakout.

Any advice for trading bond future?thanks a million

This is nothing to do with the Bonds. This is universal to all beginner traders.

Stop Gets hit, then it goes back to entry
No Stop, big loss
Profit finally hit...price continues to make triple the profits.

Welcome to futures.

hang in there.

hmmm

i traded the 10 year tnote with rather good sucess, try a 4 range and work on your entries, make sure you catch the new moves as they happen i used a 6 zerolag ema and a 12 i think you just have to play with it try to scalp it not day trade it, that might help,i was scalping 3 ticks on my 4 range chart...sharky

But if you have something that works on certain futures I would not change.
profitable trading is boring. The 10 YR notes though are much better for trading so you did get good advice.

ZB

I trade Bonds for over 10 years

have stopped when they (CME) changed the tick size to half a tick like the ZN

but thanks to whoever.....they changed it back and so the volume came back to....

only one advice:

trading Bonds needs patience, I use 2 methods: one one a trend reversal in 6 tick range bars and 2. on trends when they correct on 4 ticks range bars

Goal for first bigger then for second, you will have to find out for yourself...

best regards and good trades

The classic newbie post. If I had been active on forums I would have written my own variation on this post albeit with better grammar.

zhye, What you're experiencing is normal. Don't panic. There is nothing wrong with your results. Whatever you do, don't do anything crazy. You just have to learn to think a few steps ahead of everybody else.

Hmmm

I must agree with Mattz...

I think it more has to do with your psychological approach to the bond market itself. You should paper trade the bond market and keep a journal of what is happening while your watching as well as your reasons for entries and exits. Then compare your findings to your journal entries for the Nikkei and ES. Your findings may surprise you.
