Hey Everyone

I have been a directional eurostoxx trader for some time and I am looking to add some non directional trading into the mix. I am looking at some spread futures, I didnt want to get involved with autospreaders due to the additional costs and also the legging risk so I did some research and the NOB exchange traded spread on the CBOT/CME looks like a good candidate.

Any other traders working this instrument? I normally trade with ninja as I find it very cost effective but my broker told me I cannot trader the NOB exchange spread using Ninja, CQG was recommended however I dont like per side costs.

I am looking at CTS trader which is offered through a few brokers, just waiting on the demo, it looks good, low cost and also come with volume profile tools which is a bonus.

All help appreciated.

Thanks

Simon

How big difference between 2 ZN and ZB may be? For example +$200 on ZN and -$1500 on ZB for gap $1300.
Is it possible? What max gap did you observe?

cybernick,
I think it can be more than $500. On the screen attached I have such trade and there is about $900 gap.

TyburnTrading,
I was told that you may leg in such spreads if it is not supported by software. So I suppose Ninjatrader would be okay too. I use it for paper trading. But I tried T4 and it is not bad. Also it can chart the spread.

I need to know max gap in FYT spread (2 ZN / 3 ZF). Anybody knows? Though I would prefer ZN/ZF (1:1 or 1:2) because 5 legs for 1 lot is too much in commissions.

It was 6th day of the trade. On the 7th day it had ZN +$1593, ZB -$2562. I would keep the trade on for more but paper account has expired.

cybernick, do you enter NOB spread directly or leg into it? I think there may be a difference. Enter simultaneously real NOB spread on T4 and leg into spread on Ninja to compare profit/loss results during few days.

The spread seems to follow the price moves of ZB or ZN, as ZB is more volatilite than ZN. It should be simpler to trade ZB. Or is there anything that I did not get?
