Trading is very individual profession. I've started "trading" when i was 16 years old. Bought and sold, sold and bought... Had more profit than loss. Right now i'm 23 years old and i'm trading futures (indices) for about 1 year. Today I understood that I need a coach. A coach with much more knowledge than I am.

People say that when the student is ready the Teacher will come.

I believe I'm ready!

What is it you seek to receive from this coach and what is your budget to employ him/her.

Before start to pay money for a coach, take a good look into this forum, u can learn many things about futures and maybe start to build your own way of trading wich an edge.

No. We do not sell anything here. If you want to support the forum, donate to become an elite member. If you don't, then don't.

Also, I stopped accepting one-on-one students a few months ago. It was becoming completely overwhelming, and too many students were not putting in the effort, essentially wasting my time. So instead, I just encourage Elite Members to create journals in the Elite Journals section, and then I provide personalized assistance to them as they post about their journey, trades, method, execution, etc. It works better for me, and benefits the wider base.

BTW, you might be interested to know that we recently had a poll on nexusfi.com (formerly BMT) about the most important factor in determining profitability for a trader. A mentor was listed as one possibility, but ranked 4th in the poll. I agree with the poll results, which are here:

I'm planning to become an elite member in the comming month. I've really found great stuff in this forum.

By the way, after this post i've found that a lot of new traders start a trading journal and they get a lot of advices from more professional traders. Right now i'm thinking of starting a new journal to become a better trader. Thanks for the advice, Mike.

"too many students were not putting in the effort" what do you mean by that? For example, I try to do this 24/7 as much as I can. It's like a illness which I can not cure for about 6 years
My day starts with an TA analysis of main indices of the world, commodities, currencies and etc. .. you name it. Than i write my trading plan and wait for setups. I could not say that I don't put eny effort in this. I spend too much time with this

What I meant as that I would assign homework, and the students did not complete it. Using the forum for a journal is better for me, better for those reading and learning, and is truly better for the trader who owns the journal as well. One of the best things a trader can have is accountability, and a public journal offers that.

ealas , if you journal your trading activity every day and even journal your thoughts about trading as they come to you you become your own mentor . Maybe could take a while but the degree of effort you put in to journalling is equal to the results you will get . I wrote down every thought I had about trading for about a year until I experienced a shift in my attitude about things . It turned out that by reliving my trading regime and examining my thoughts and attitudes , by reading my journal(s) , I saw that my attitude was all wrong and then I was able to focus on that .

That helped me improve my trading because I was able to focus on the right things ( for me ) . A mentor can possibly do the same for you for thousand$ of dollars . I know that mentors "like helping other traders" for profit and "just like to give back" for profit but no one can help you like yourself - gratis .

Oh and btw , dont be concerned about being candid about yourself in a journal . Do whats good for you and pour your heart out even detailing your regime and setups because you can show the world what you are doing but they wont have the dicipline to trade it like you .
