Greetings All,
I'm new to the site today, May 3rd, 2019 and will start by introducing myself and give a little back story. I'm an ex-individual stock trader, who learned some very horrible habits trading stocks, but, was lucky enough to make some decent money.
Since then, I transitioned to futures, where I got my butt kicked! For numerous reasons, but, bottom line, many times I was to eager to trade and tried to predict what would happen, versus what the futures were actually doing. I've lost my threshold of money that I was going to lose, so I'm done with futures for now.
However, the lessons I learned in futures where awesome and will help me as I transition once again back to stocks.
Each trading vessel has its own pros and cons for me: Stocks win out for now, since I'm ok holding them for a swing trade. Where as, futures I didn't like to hold overnight or longer because I could lose a profitable trade while I was away. It could just be more of a psychological thing for me.
In the end, I will head back to futures or will augment my stock trading once I get my account back to where I want it.
My question is: I dropped TDAmeritrade yesterday. I've been looking at NT, but, I need to learn more about what is actually needed to trade with NT.
I'm now shopping for a new trading platform for futures and stocks. Any suggestions?
